VibeFox Econt for Adobe Commerce — सहायता

Requirements

Magento: Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9, on your own server or hosting, on premises or on Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure. The module does not work with Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service (the SaaS edition), which does not accept PHP modules. The office selector is made for the standard Magento checkout (Luma or Blank theme). Third-party checkouts need their own integration.

PHP: 8.1 to 8.4, with the cURL and JSON extensions.

Econt: no contract or API key is needed. The office list is a public Econt nomenclature. Only the country code is sent to Econt, no customer data. Fill in an e-Econt username and password only if Econt asks your store for authorization. The e-Econt login is described on the Econt developers page (econt.com/developers).

VibeFox license key: bought on vibefox.net. One key works on one domain.

Installation

The module is one ZIP file. It is a Composer package and can also be copied into app/code. Run the commands in the Magento root folder as the user that owns the Magento files.

1. With Composer: put the ZIP file into a folder that your project uses as a Composer "artifact" repository and run composer require vibefox/module-econt-shipping. Without Composer: unpack the ZIP file into app/code/Vibefox/EcontShipping/, so that registration.php is directly in that folder.

2. Run bin/magento module:enable Vibefox_EcontShipping and bin/magento setup:upgrade. In production mode also run bin/magento setup:di:compile and bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy, then bin/magento cache:flush.

3. In the Admin go to Stores > Configuration > Sales > Delivery Methods and open VibeFox Econt. Paste your VibeFox license key into License key in the license block, the first row of the group, and click Activate (see License key).

4. Check the prices per country and the other options (see Configuration). Set Enable Econt to Yes and click Save Config. Click Load offices from Econt now to test the connection.

The module adds the Econt Express shipping method to Magento. Customers see it as Econt Express - To office or Econtomat (carrier title and method name). It is off after installation (Enable Econt = No).

Configuration

All settings are in Stores > Configuration > Sales > Delivery Methods > VibeFox Econt, in the standard Magento configuration form. Like other Magento settings, they can be changed for a website with the Scope switcher at the top of the page; Carrier title and Method name also for a store view. Remove data on uninstall is read from the Default Config. Save Config saves the whole page. Number fields accept a decimal comma, for example 5,99.

If a value is wrong, Magento shows an error and nothing on the page is saved: an empty Carrier title or Method name, longer than 64 characters or with one of the characters < > ; = # { }; a Sort order that is not a whole number; a number field that contains something that is not a number or a negative number; a Minimum weight (kg) greater than the Maximum weight (kg).

At the top of the group the module shows warnings: the demo API is on, no price is set for Bulgaria or Romania (the method is then never shown), the last office request for a country failed, or the weight unit of your store is not known to the module (weights are then taken as kg).

General

Enable Econt: shows or hides Econt at checkout. Default: No.

Carrier title: the carrier name shown in the cart and at checkout, before the method name. Default: Econt Express. Required, at most 64 characters.

Method name: shown after the carrier title, as "Carrier title - Method name". Default: To office or Econtomat. Required, at most 64 characters.

Sort order: the position among the shipping methods at checkout. A whole number, negative numbers are allowed.

Econt office list

Offices and Econtomats are loaded from the public Econt API (no contract needed) and cached for 24 hours.

Demo API: use the Econt demo API with test data. Keep it off on a live store. Demo offices have other codes than the real ones. In demo mode the public Econt test account is used when no login is set. Default: No.

Econt username: optional. Your e-Econt login for HTTP Basic authorization. Clearing it also clears the saved password.

Econt password: optional. It is never written to the log. Magento stores it encrypted and shows only a mask after saving. Leave the mask as it is to keep the saved password, type a new value to change it. To delete the saved password, clear the field (or the Econt username) and click Save Config.

Office list: shows how many offices are cached per country and when they were loaded, or that the list is not loaded yet. The button Load offices from Econt now reloads the lists of Bulgaria and Romania at once, ignoring the cache age and the pause after an error, and shows the result per country. If a load fails, the offices from the last successful load are kept. Without this button, the list is loaded automatically at the first checkout. Changing Demo API, the username or the password clears the cached lists.

Office selector at checkout

Show: which points customers can choose.

City order: show the largest cities first (Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Bucharest and others), then A to Z. When No, cities are sorted alphabetically. Default: Yes.

City list width: the CSS width of the city list, for example 100% or 300px. Default: 100%.

Office list width: the CSS width of the office list, for example 100% or 400px. Default: 100%.

Prices

Prices are in the base currency of your store, tax excluded. Magento shows them in the customer's currency. The module does not ask Econt for live rates. Bulgaria uses the euro since 1 January 2026. There is no tax field in the module: if your store charges tax on shipping, set a tax class in Stores > Configuration > Sales > Tax > Tax Classes > Tax Class for Shipping.

Price per country: one country per line: country code, colon, price, for example BG:5.99 and RO:8.99 (these are the defaults). A decimal comma is fine: BG:5,99. A price of 0 means free delivery. If the field is empty, the default prices BG:5.99 and RO:8.99 are used. Lines that cannot be read are ignored and listed in a warning when you save. The rest is saved.

Calculation: Per order charges the price once. Per item multiplies it by the number of items that need shipping.

Price for other countries: used for Bulgaria or Romania when the country has no line above. Empty or 0 hides the method there.

Conditions and availability

The cart subtotal is the total of the products that need shipping, after discounts, tax excluded, in the base currency.

Free shipping from: the cart subtotal from which delivery is free. Leave it empty to never give free delivery.

Minimum subtotal: show the method only when the cart subtotal is at least this amount. Leave it empty to always show it.

Minimum weight (kg): hide the method for lighter carts. Empty or 0 means no limit.

Maximum weight (kg): hide the method for heavier carts. Empty or 0 means no limit.

Product weights are converted to kg from the weight unit of your store (Stores > Configuration > General > General > Locale Options > Weight Unit, lbs or kgs).

Ship to Applicable Countries: All Allowed Countries offers Econt for every country your store allows, Specific Countries only for the countries below.

Ship to Specific Countries: the destination countries for Specific Countries. Econt delivers to Bulgaria and Romania only: other countries never get the method, even if they are selected.

Advanced

Debug log: writes debug messages to var/log/vfd_ecn_debug.log.php in the Magento folder. The file cannot be opened from the web. Office API errors are always logged, even when this is off. No passwords or customer data are written.

Log: shows the size and the latest entries of the log. Click Clear log to empty it.

Remove data on uninstall: when Yes, uninstalling the module with its data deletes the Econt settings, the log and the offices of carts that never became an order (see Uninstall). The license key and the office cache are always removed. Offices saved in orders are always kept.

How it works at checkout

The method is offered only for Bulgaria and Romania. At the shipping step Magento asks the module for the Econt price. Only products that need shipping count: virtual and downloadable products add no weight and are not included in the subtotal. The module checks the weight limits and the minimum subtotal, then takes the price for the country. If the cart subtotal reaches Free shipping from, the price is 0. A Magento cart price rule with free shipping also makes the price 0. If no office list is available for the country, the method is hidden, because delivery always goes to an office. The customer never sees an API error. The reason is written to the log.

When the customer selects Econt, two lists appear under the shipping methods: City and Office or Econtomat. The office list of the delivery country is loaded once per page, only when Econt is selected. Econtomats are marked in the list. Each choice is saved to the cart at once. When the customer changes the delivery country, the choice is cleared and the list of the new country is loaded. If no offices can be loaded, the customer sees No Econt offices available right now. Please try again later or choose another shipping method.

When the customer clicks Next in the shipping step, the checkout asks for an office first: Please select an Econt office or Econtomat. The server then checks again that an office is chosen for the cart and that it exists in the Econt list for the delivery country (filtered by Show). An office that is not in the list is refused with The selected Econt office is not available for the shipping country. Please select it again. If the list cannot be loaded at that moment, the customer sees Econt offices cannot be loaded right now. Please try again in a few minutes or choose another shipping method. The office name is always taken from the Econt list, not from the browser.

The office list is cached for 24 hours, separately for the live and the demo API. If Econt cannot be reached, the last good list is used and Econt is not asked again for 10 minutes. The API timeout is 15 seconds. The office list comes from https://ee.econt.com/services/ (live) or https://demo.econt.com/ee/services/ (demo).

The module uses fixed prices only. It does not ask Econt for live prices, create waybills or labels, order couriers, track parcels, handle cash on delivery or deliver to an address. Only Bulgaria and Romania have an office list.

Pickup points

When the order is placed, the office chosen for the cart is saved with the order: the city, the office name and address, and the Econt office code. The office is added to the shipping description of the order, for example Econt Express - To office or Econtomat: Sofia, Office name (address). The customer sees it in the order confirmation e-mail, in the order in their account and on invoices, and you see it in the Admin. Use the office code when you create the shipment in e-Econt.

Admin order page: on Sales > Orders > View, Information tab, the Econt block shows Econt office / Econtomat with the office and its code (ID) and country, or a dash when the order has no office. Click Edit, choose another city and office of the order's country and click Save. The office of the order and its shipping description change at once, and the page shows Office updated. Only Admin users whose role allows Sales > Operations > Orders > Actions > Edit can change the office. If the office list cannot be loaded, the block says The Econt office list is not available right now - the office cannot be changed. The block also works for older orders and when the module is switched off.

Orders created in the Admin: the office selector is not part of Create New Order. Such an order is placed without an office, an error is written to the log, and you choose the office afterwards in the Econt block of the order.

Office names are shown in the local language (Cyrillic for Bulgaria) when the store locale is Bulgarian or Romanian, and in English otherwise.

License key

The module works with a VibeFox license key from vibefox.net. The license block License — VibeFox Econt is the first row of the VibeFox Econt group in Stores > Configuration > Sales > Delivery Methods, above the settings. Paste the key into License key and click Activate. After that the block shows the key masked, the status (for example the date the license is active until and your domain) and the buttons Check now to check the status again, Change key to enter another key and Remove key to remove the key from this store. Below them are the line Product: magento-shipping-econt and the link Manage licenses and domains in your account, which opens your vibefox.net account. Only Admin users whose role allows the Delivery Methods configuration section can change the key. The texts of the block follow the Admin interface locale (English and Russian are included).

If the key is not accepted, the block says why, for example Key not found, This key belongs to another product, Domain limit reached or License expired on a date. After the store address changes, or after you free a domain slot in your account, click Check now. If the license server cannot be reached, the module keeps working on the last known status.

One key works on one domain: the domain of the default store view, also when the installation has several websites or stores. Removing the key from the store does not free its domain slot. Free the slot in your vibefox.net account.

Without an active key, the Econt method is not shown to customers at checkout and no rate is calculated. The Magento storefront does not know that you are logged in to the Admin, so the method is hidden for you too: you can set up the module before you buy a key, but not test it at checkout. A reminder appears in the System Messages of the Admin, with the links Enter the license key and Dismiss, which hides it for 7 days. Existing orders are not affected.

When a license expires, the module keeps working, but updates and support need a renewal. The status is checked again automatically: once a day for the first 14 days after the key is entered, then once a week, by the Magento cron and while you work in the Admin. Uninstalling the module with its data always removes the license key and license status.

Troubleshooting

Econt does not appear at checkout: check that the license is active and Enable Econt is Yes for the website of the store, and that the delivery country is Bulgaria or Romania. Check Ship to Applicable Countries and Ship to Specific Countries, that a price is set for the country, the weight limits and Minimum subtotal. Check the Office list line in the settings: the method is hidden while no office list is available for the country.

The office list does not load: click Load offices from Econt now and read the result, or the warnings at the top of the group. Errors are always written to the log; turn on Debug log for more detail and look at the Log field in the Advanced section. If Econt requires authorization for your store, fill in Econt username and Econt password.

Customers see test offices: Demo API is on. Turn it off on a live store.

Which currency are the prices in? In the base currency of your store, tax excluded. Customers see them in their currency.

Tax is charged on top of the price: your store taxes shipping (Tax Class for Shipping). Enter prices without VAT, or do not tax shipping.

The office selector does not appear: it is shown only while the Econt method is selected and the delivery country is Bulgaria or Romania, in the standard Magento checkout (Luma or Blank). After installing or updating, run the commands below.

The settings page or the checkout looks unchanged after installing or updating: run bin/magento setup:upgrade and bin/magento cache:flush; in production mode also setup:di:compile and setup:static-content:deploy.

Uninstall

Deleting the module code alone removes nothing from the database: the license key and the settings stay. To remove the data, uninstall the module with the Magento command:

Installed with Composer: run bin/magento module:uninstall --remove-data Vibefox_EcontShipping. It removes the data and the code.

Installed in app/code: run bin/magento module:uninstall --non-composer Vibefox_EcontShipping to remove the data, then bin/magento module:disable Vibefox_EcontShipping, delete the folder app/code/Vibefox/EcontShipping and run bin/magento setup:upgrade.

The license key, the license status and the cached office lists are always removed. If Remove data on uninstall is Yes, the Econt settings, the log and the offices of carts that never became an order are removed too. If it is No, the settings are kept for a re-install. Offices saved in orders and the shipping descriptions of orders are always kept.
