VibeFox Paytrail for Adobe Commerce

Overview

VibeFox Paytrail Gateway adds payments through the Paytrail payment page to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. The customer chooses Paytrail at the payment step and clicks Place Order. Magento places the order in Pending Payment, and the customer goes to the Paytrail page and pays with one of the methods enabled for your Paytrail account. Card and bank data never touch your site. The order is invoiced only after Paytrail confirms the payment, and the order e-mail is sent only then.

It suits Finnish stores that sell in euros and want all their Paytrail methods behind one payment method. The method is chosen on the Paytrail page, not in your checkout. The order currency must be EUR. The module has no saved cards, no subscriptions, no shop-in-shop, no manual capture or invoice activation and no settlement reports, and it is not offered for orders created in the Admin. Refunds made in the Paytrail Merchant Panel are not synchronized back to Magento.

Key features

Paytrail payment page: one payment method for all your Paytrail methods. The page language follows the locale of the store view (Finnish, Swedish, otherwise English).

Order rows sent to Paytrail: products after discounts and shipping, with VAT to one decimal (for example 25.5 %). The rows always add up to the payment amount, in euro cents.

Paid only when Paytrail confirms: the customer's return and the server-to-server callback are accepted only with a valid signature and only for a payment attempt of that order. A different paid amount or a payment after the order was cancelled creates no invoice and is recorded for your review.

Nothing to set up in Paytrail: the callback URL is sent with every payment.

No double processing: repeated callbacks and returns never invoice an order twice. A second paid attempt for the same cart is reported in a note as a duplicate to refund in the Merchant Panel.

Delayed payments: invoice and other pending payments keep the order in Pending Payment until Paytrail confirms or rejects them.

Online refunds with Credit Memo: full and partial refunds through the standard Magento Credit Memo of the invoice with Refund. When a payment method does not support direct refunds, an e-mail refund is started automatically. A refund with a lost answer is never sent twice blindly.

Test mode: Paytrail's public test account, no keys needed. Older payments keep the credentials of their own mode.

Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Payment Methods configuration page, with an encrypted secret key, countries and minimum and maximum order totals, and a log without keys or e-mail addresses.

Requirements

Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4, a running Magento cron for the order e-mail. A Paytrail merchant account (merchant ID and secret key) and EUR as the order currency. The store should be reachable from the internet for callbacks. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
