VibeFox Shippo for Adobe Commerce

Overview

VibeFox Shippo adds a Shippo shipping method to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. For the customer's address it asks Shippo for the rates of every carrier enabled in your Shippo account, such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL Express or Canada Post, and shows the cheapest one as a single shipping method at checkout. When no live rate is available, your own fallback prices are used.

It suits stores that already use Shippo to buy labels and want real carrier prices at checkout. The module calculates shipping rates only. It does not buy labels, track parcels, validate addresses, offer pickup or drop-off locations, insurance, signature options or return labels. Customers see one option, not a list of all services.

Key features

Live multi-carrier rates: rates from the Shippo Shipments API for all carriers of your Shippo account. Optionally limit them to chosen carriers or service levels.

Rate saved with the order: the carrier and service, the estimated delivery days and the live rate appear in a Shippo shipping block on the admin order page, so you know which label to buy. Each order keeps its own data, also when a customer comes back to the same cart after a cancelled online payment and orders again.

Parcels: one parcel per order or one parcel per item. Product weights are converted to kg from the weight unit of your store, and every parcel uses your default box size, because Magento products have no standard dimensions.

International shipments: a customs declaration with item names, quantities, weights and values in your base currency is sent, as Shippo requires for international rates.

Currency handling: a rate in the base currency of your store is used as it is. Other rates are converted with the exchange rate you enter, or not used without it. Magento shows the price in the customer's currency.

Fallback prices: a price table by country and cart weight and one price for all other countries, used when there is no live rate.

Fast checkout: rates are cached for 1 hour. Failed requests are remembered, so the checkout never waits for Shippo on every refresh. API errors never reach the customer.

Standard Magento settings: one group on the Delivery Methods page, with settings per website, the API token stored encrypted, free shipping from a subtotal, minimum subtotal, weight limits, Ship to Specific Countries and a debug log viewer. Magento cart price rules with free shipping make the price 0. Tax on shipping follows your store tax settings.

Requirements

Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4. A Shippo account with carriers enabled and an API token. Shippo charges for purchased labels, not for rate requests. Fallback prices work without a token. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
