VibeFox Tap for Adobe Commerce

Overview

VibeFox Tap Payments adds Tap Payments to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce: Visa, Mastercard, mada, KNET, Benefit, Apple Pay and Google Pay, as enabled in your Tap account. The customer chooses Tap Payments at the payment step and clicks Place Order. Magento places the order in Pending Payment, and the customer pays on the secure Tap payment page or in the Tap checkout popup on a payment page of your store. Card data never touches your server. The order is invoiced only after Tap confirms the payment, and the order e-mail is sent only then.

It suits stores in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and other Tap markets that want to accept local and international payment methods with a Tap account. The module takes one-time payments. It has no saved cards, subscriptions or card fields embedded in your checkout page, no partial capture, and no payments for orders created in the Admin.

Key features

Two checkout types: the Tap payment page or the Tap checkout popup on a payment page of your store, with the Tap payment page as a fallback.

Paid only when Tap confirms: the module reads the payment from the Tap API, checks that it belongs to the order and compares the amount and currency with the order before the invoice is created. A mismatch puts the order On Hold with a note and without an invoice.

Signed webhook, nothing to configure: the webhook URL is sent with every payment and works for every store view. Notifications without a valid signature are rejected.

Correct amounts: KWD, BHD, OMR and JOD are sent with 3 decimals, SAR, AED, QAR, EUR, USD and the other currencies with 2.

Charge or authorize only: authorized orders wait On Hold. Capture them with Capture Tap payment or release the funds with Void Tap authorization on the order page.

Online refunds with Credit Memo: full and partial refunds through the standard Magento Credit Memo of the invoice with Refund, up to the amount Tap charged, always with the key of the mode (test or live) the payment was made in.

Safe status handling: repeated webhooks and returns never invoice an order twice. A declined or abandoned payment cancels the waiting order and gives the cart back. Duplicate and late payments are noted on the order.

Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Payment Methods configuration page, with encrypted secret keys, the webhook URL on the page, countries and minimum and maximum order totals, the Tap page in English or Arabic, the Tap transaction history on the order page and an optional log without keys, card numbers or e-mail addresses.

Requirements

Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4. A Tap account with test and live API keys (the secret key; the publishable key only for the popup). Cart currency AED, BHD, EGP, EUR, GBP, JOD, KWD, OMR, QAR, SAR or USD. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
