VibeFox PostNL for Adobe Commerce

Overview

VibeFox PostNL adds a PostNL shipping method to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce with two delivery options: PostNL pickup point, where the customer picks one of the nearest PostNL points at checkout, and home delivery to the customer's address. Prices come from your own table per country and weight class.

It suits stores in the Netherlands and Belgium that ship with PostNL. Pickup points are offered for Dutch and Belgian addresses, home delivery for every country you set a price for. PostNL has no public rate API, so the module does not request live rates. It does not create shipping labels, barcodes, track and trace, returns or delivery-day options.

Key features

PostNL pickup points: the three nearest PostNL points for the delivery address are loaded from the PostNL Checkout API and shown in a list under the pickup point option on the Magento checkout.

Checked on the server: the customer cannot continue without a point, and the point is checked against PostNL's list for the delivery address when the shipping step is saved and again before the order is placed. Name and address come from PostNL.

Point saved with the order: name, address, PostNL location code and partner ID on the admin order page, the point on the order page in the customer account and for guests, and in the shipping description of the order e-mails. If a payment is cancelled and the cart is restored, the customer can choose a point again, and every order keeps its own point.

Your own prices: a price per country with weight classes (XS to XL), a row for all other countries and a fallback price, per order or per item, in the base currency of your store.

Shipping rules: free shipping from a cart subtotal, minimum subtotal, minimum and maximum cart weight, and the countries you ship to. Magento cart price rules with free shipping work as usual. A decimal comma is accepted.

Safe checkout: if PostNL cannot be reached or has no points, only the pickup point option is hidden and home delivery stays available. Point lists are cached, errors for 10 minutes, and the last error is shown on the settings page.

Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Delivery Methods configuration page, with sections for the PostNL Checkout API, rates, availability and advanced options, settings per website, an encrypted API key, the PostNL sandbox and a debug log viewer.

Requirements

Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4. Pickup points need a PostNL business account with an API key. Home delivery works without it. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
