VibeFox GLS ParcelShop for Adobe Commerce

Overview

VibeFox GLS ParcelShop adds a GLS ParcelShop shipping method to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. When the customer selects it at the shipping step of checkout, a Select or change ParcelShop button opens the official public GLS ParcelShop map. The chosen ParcelShop is required to continue and is saved with the order.

It suits stores that ship to GLS ParcelShops in 21 European countries. No GLS account or API key is needed for the module. Prices come from your own table by country and weight, because GLS has no public rate API. The module does not create GLS shipments, print labels or track parcels.

Key features

Official GLS map: the customer picks a ParcelShop on the GLS map under the shipping methods, in the standard Magento checkout (Luma and Blank themes). The choice is saved to the cart, so it stays after the shipping step refreshes or the page reloads.

ParcelShop is required: the customer cannot click past Next without a ParcelShop. A ParcelShop from another country than the shipping address is refused. Both checks also run on the server.

21 countries: offered only for the countries covered by the GLS map: AT, BE, BG, CZ, DE, DK, ES, FI, FR, GR, HR, HU, IT, LU, NL, PL, PT, RO, RS, SI, SK.

Price table by weight: a price per country and weight tier (XS up to 1 kg, S up to 2 kg, M up to 3 kg, L up to 5 kg, XL over 5 kg), a * All other countries row and a fallback cost. Per order or per item.

Shipping rules: free shipping from a cart subtotal, minimum cart subtotal, minimum and maximum weight in kg (converted from your store weight unit) and the countries you ship to. Magento cart price rules with free shipping work as usual. Tax on shipping uses your Magento tax settings, when your store taxes shipping.

ParcelShop in the order: the ParcelShop name and address are added to the shipping description of the order, so they appear in the order in the customer account, in the order e-mails and on invoices. A GLS ParcelShop block on the admin order page shows the ParcelShop ID and country.

Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Delivery Methods configuration page, with sections for prices and availability, settings per website and store view, and a debug log viewer. No customer personal data is logged.

Requirements

Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4. No GLS account or API key is needed for the map. You need a GLS contract to ship the parcels. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
