VibeFox SimplePay for Adobe Commerce

Overview

VibeFox SimplePay Gateway adds card payments through SimplePay, the Hungarian payment service, to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. It connects to the SimplePay v2 API. The customer chooses SimplePay at the payment step and clicks Place Order. Magento places the order in Pending Payment, and the customer goes to the SimplePay payment page, pays by card and comes back to your store. Card data never touches your site. The order is invoiced only after SimplePay confirms the payment, and the order e-mail is sent only then.

It suits stores that sell in HUF, EUR or USD and have SimplePay merchant accounts. The module takes one-time card payments only. It has no saved cards or one-click payments, no subscriptions or recurring payments, no separate authorize and capture, no automatic sync of refunds made in the SimplePay merchant admin and no payments for orders created in the Admin.

Key features

One account per currency: merchant ID and secret for HUF, EUR and USD, live and sandbox. The payment method is offered only for a cart currency that has an account in the current mode. HUF amounts are sent as whole forints, EUR and USD with two decimals.

Paid only when SimplePay confirms: the order is invoiced after the signed SimplePay IPN, or after a signed status request when the customer returns with a successful result. The return alone never pays an order.

Signed requests: every request to SimplePay is signed, and SimplePay's answers are verified. IPNs with an invalid signature are rejected.

Amount and currency check: if the paid amount or currency differs from the order, the order goes On Hold with a note and without an invoice.

No double processing: repeated or simultaneous IPNs and returns never invoice an order twice. A cancelled, failed or timed-out payment cancels the waiting order and gives the cart back, and a late or duplicate payment is flagged with a note instead of being invoiced.

Online refunds with Credit Memo: full and partial refunds through the standard Magento Credit Memo of the invoice with Refund, always with the merchant account and mode (sandbox or live) of the payment. HUF credit memos with decimals are rounded to whole forints, and the last one refunds exactly the rest. A refund with an unclear result is never sent twice.

Messages SimplePay asks for: the SimplePay transaction ID on the order success page, and the transaction ID with the reason for failed, cancelled and timed-out payments.

Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Payment Methods configuration page, with encrypted secrets, the IPN URL shown on the page, countries and minimum and maximum order totals, and an optional log without secrets or e-mail addresses.

Requirements

Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4. SimplePay merchant accounts (MERCHANT and SECRET KEY) for the currencies you sell in: HUF, EUR or USD. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
