VibeFox Comgate for Adobe Commerce

Overview

VibeFox Comgate Gateway adds payments through Comgate to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. The customer chooses Comgate at the payment step and clicks Place Order. Magento places the order in Pending Payment, and the customer goes to the Comgate payment page and pays by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, a bank button or a bank transfer, whatever is enabled for your shop in Comgate. Card data never touches your site. The order is invoiced only after Comgate confirms the payment, and the order e-mail is sent only then.

It suits Czech and other European stores that sell in CZK, EUR, PLN, HUF, USD, GBP, RON, HRK, NOK or SEK with a Comgate account. The module takes one-time payments only. It has no recurring payments, subscriptions or saved cards, no embedded Comgate checkout or Apple Pay and Google Pay buttons on your site, it does not capture or cancel pre-authorizations from Magento, and it is not offered for orders created in the Admin.

Key features

Comgate payment page: the payment is created in the background for the order total in the order currency, and the customer is redirected to Comgate. You choose all methods, cards only or bank transfers only, and the page language.

Paid only when Comgate confirms: neither the background notification nor the customer's return is trusted on its own. The module re-reads the payment from the Comgate status API and accepts only a transaction it created for this order.

Amount and currency check: the paid amount and currency must match the order. A mismatch, a test payment while the store is live or a pre-authorized payment puts the order On Hold with a note and without an invoice.

No double processing: repeated or simultaneous notifications and returns invoice an order once. Before a new payment of the same cart is started, the earlier attempt is checked at Comgate and cancelled there if it is still open; a second payment of a paid cart only adds a note.

Cancelled payments give the cart back: a cancelled or expired payment cancels the waiting order (the stock goes back) and restores the cart, so the customer can pay again or choose another method.

Online refunds with Credit Memo: full and partial refunds through the standard Magento Credit Memo of the invoice with Refund, always in the mode (test or live) of the original payment. A full refund closes the order.

Order status of your choice: Processing or Complete after a confirmed payment. The Comgate transaction, status, amount and mode are shown in the payment information of the order.

Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Payment Methods configuration page, with the encrypted secret, the notification URL shown on the page, countries and minimum and maximum order totals, and an optional log without the secret or e-mail addresses.

Requirements

Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4 with the curl and json extensions. A Comgate account with a Merchant ID and secret, and the notification URL set in the Comgate client portal. A store reachable over HTTPS from the internet. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
