Overview
VibeFox PayU LATAM Payment adds PayU Latam WebCheckout payments to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. The customer chooses PayU LATAM at the payment step and clicks Place Order. Magento places the order in Pending Payment, and the customer goes to the secure PayU payment page and pays with any method enabled in your PayU account (cards, cash, bank transfers, PSE and other local methods). Card data never touches your site. The order is invoiced only after PayU confirms the payment, and the order e-mail is sent only then.
It suits stores in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Panama and Peru that sell in ARS, BRL, CLP, COP, MXN, PEN or USD and have a PayU Latam account. The module has no payment form in your store, no online refunds (refunds are made in the PayU Dashboard and recorded with Refund Offline), no saved cards, no subscriptions, no installments settings (PayU shows installments on its page) and no payments for orders created in the Admin.
Key features
Paid only when PayU confirms: the order is invoiced only by the signed PayU confirmation sent from server to server. The module checks the signature, your merchant ID and the payment reference it issued for the order. The customer coming back from PayU never marks an order as paid.
Nothing to set up in PayU: the confirmation URL is sent with every payment.
Amount and currency check: a payment that does not match the order total puts the order On Hold with a note and without an invoice.
Cash and bank payments: payments that PayU reports as pending, such as cash vouchers, leave the order in Pending Payment with a note until PayU confirms them.
Clear result for the customer: after a declined or expired payment the order is cancelled, the stock goes back and the cart is restored, so the customer can pay again or choose another method.
No double processing: each notification is processed once under a per-cart lock, so PayU retries never invoice an order twice. A second approved payment for a paid order is flagged with a note for you to review and refund.
Separate sandbox and live credentials: sandbox by default. Each payment attempt remembers its environment, so switching between sandbox and live does not break pending payments.
Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Payment Methods configuration page, with encrypted API keys, the confirmation URL shown on the page, countries and minimum and maximum order totals. The order page lists all payment attempts, and an optional log hides keys and e-mail addresses.
Requirements
Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4. A PayU Latam account with a merchant ID, an account ID for your country and an API key, and PayU's public sandbox credentials for testing. Order currency: ARS, BRL, CLP, COP, MXN, PEN or USD. The store must be reachable from the internet for PayU confirmations. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
