Overview
VibeFox PayMongo Payment Gateway adds PayMongo payments for the Philippines to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. The customer chooses PayMongo at the payment step and clicks Place Order. Magento places the order in Pending Payment, and the customer goes to the hosted PayMongo checkout page, pays by card, GCash, GrabPay, Maya or another method you selected, and comes back to your store. Card data never touches your site. The order is invoiced only after PayMongo confirms the payment, and the order e-mail is sent only then.
It suits stores that sell in Philippine pesos (PHP) and have a PayMongo account. The module takes one-time payments of at least ₱100.00. It has no card fields on your own checkout page, no saved cards, no subscriptions or installments, no separate authorize and capture, and no payments for orders created in the Admin. Refunds made in the PayMongo Dashboard are not copied to Magento.
Key features
PayMongo Checkout: one hosted page with the methods you choose: cards (Visa, Mastercard), GCash, GrabPay, Maya, ShopeePay, QR Ph, BillEase, Atome and direct online banking (BPI, UnionBank).
Paid only when PayMongo confirms: the invoice with the PayMongo payment ID is created after a signed webhook or after a server-side check of the payment when the customer returns. Every webhook is checked again through the PayMongo API with your secret key.
Amount and currency check: the paid amount and currency are compared with the order. A mismatch puts the order On Hold with a note and without an invoice.
No double processing: repeated webhooks and returns never invoice an order twice. A new payment attempt for the same cart expires the previous PayMongo checkout link, and a payment made on an old link is reported on the order. A cancelled payment cancels the waiting order and gives the cart back.
Test and live modes: separate secret keys and webhook secrets. Payments keep the mode they were made in: a test payment never completes an order while the store is live, and refunds use the key of the payment's mode.
Online refunds with Credit Memo: full and partial refunds through the standard Magento Credit Memo of the invoice with Refund, up to the amount PayMongo actually charged. Held or duplicate payments can be refunded from the PayMongo block of the order.
PayMongo block on the order page: every payment attempt with its checkout session, payment intent, payment, mode, status, amounts and refund history.
Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Payment Methods configuration page, with encrypted keys, the webhook URL and events shown on the page, countries and minimum and maximum order totals, and a log without keys or customer data.
