VibeFox Conekta for Adobe Commerce

Overview

VibeFox Conekta Gateway adds payments through Conekta (Mexico) to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. The customer chooses Conekta at the payment step and clicks Place Order. Magento places the order in Pending Payment, and the customer goes to the secure Conekta hosted checkout and pays by credit or debit card, cash at OXXO and other stores, SPEI bank transfer or BNPL, whichever you allow. Card data never touches your site. The order is invoiced only after Conekta confirms the payment, and the order e-mail is sent only then.

It suits Mexican stores selling in MXN or USD that want cards and cash payments in one method with a Conekta account. The module takes one-time payments only. It has no card form on your checkout page, no saved cards, subscriptions or capture of pre-authorized payments from Magento, and it is not offered for orders created in the Admin. Refunds and chargebacks made in the Conekta panel are only noted on the order.

Key features

Conekta hosted checkout: a Conekta order is created for the order total in the order currency, with the products, discounts, tax and shipping. Cash, SPEI and BNPL are offered for MXN orders; USD orders get cards only.

Paid only when Conekta confirms: both the webhook and the customer's return only trigger a read of the order from the Conekta API with your private key. Nothing in a notification or in the return URL is trusted.

Amount and currency check: the amount and currency reported by Conekta are compared with the order. A mismatch, or a test-mode payment received while the store is live, puts the order On Hold with a note and without an invoice.

OXXO and SPEI: while the customer has a payment reference, the order waits in Pending Payment and is invoiced when Conekta reports the payment.

No double processing: repeated or simultaneous notifications never invoice an order twice. An open Conekta checkout is reused or cancelled before a new one is created, so an old link cannot be paid twice. A cancelled, declined or expired payment cancels the waiting order and gives the cart back.

Test and live modes: separate private keys for each mode and a test-mode notice at checkout. Notifications and refunds always use the key of the mode the payment was made in.

Online refunds with Credit Memo: full and partial refunds through the standard Magento Credit Memo of the invoice with Refund, up to the amount Conekta actually charged.

Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Payment Methods configuration page, with encrypted keys, the webhook URL shown on the page, countries and minimum and maximum order totals, and an optional log without API keys.

Requirements

Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4. Order currency MXN or USD. A Conekta account with test and live private keys and a webhook in the Conekta panel. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
