VibeFox Australia Post for Adobe Commerce

Overview

VibeFox Australia Post adds an Australia Post shipping method to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce for stores that send parcels from Australia. Customers choose Australia Post at the shipping step of checkout and pay a fixed price per country or a live Australia Post rate for their parcel.

It suits Australian stores that post parcels within Australia and abroad. The module calculates shipping rates at checkout. It does not create labels, eParcel or MyPost Business shipments or manifests, track parcels, let customers choose parcel lockers or Post Offices, or split the cart into several parcels.

Key features

Three pricing modes: fixed prices per country (no API key needed), live rates from the Australia Post Postage Assessment Calculator (PAC) API, or live rates that fall back to fixed prices when the API gives no rate.

Domestic and international services: Parcel Post or Express Post within Australia; International Standard, Express or Courier abroad.

Parcel weight: product weights are converted from the weight unit of your store to kg, with a default weight for products without one. The parcel size comes from your default parcel dimensions.

Currency and GST: AUD prices are converted to your base currency with your conversion rate, or not used without it. Optional GST removal for domestic prices, so GST is not charged twice when your store taxes shipping. Magento shows the price in the customer's currency.

Fast checkout: successful rates are cached for 1 hour and failed requests for 10 minutes. API errors never reach the customer.

Shipping rules: minimum and maximum cart weight, minimum order amount, free shipping from an amount, per-order or per-item fixed prices, and the countries you ship to. Magento cart price rules with free shipping work as usual.

Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Delivery Methods configuration page, with sections for the API, the parcel, fixed prices, conditions and advanced options, settings per website, an encrypted API key and a debug log viewer. The API key and customer postcodes are not logged.

Requirements

Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4. Live rates need a free Australia Post PAC API key. Fixed prices work without one. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
