VibeFox Paymob for Adobe Commerce

Overview

VibeFox Paymob Pay adds Paymob payments to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce for stores in Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Pakistan. The customer chooses Paymob at the payment step and clicks Place Order. Magento places the order in Pending Payment, and the customer goes to the Paymob payment page of your country and pays with a card, a mobile wallet or another method of your Paymob integration. Paymob also calls your store directly, so the payment is confirmed even if the customer closes the browser. The order is invoiced only after Paymob confirms the payment with a signed callback, and the order e-mail is sent only then.

It suits stores that sell in EGP, AED, SAR, OMR or PKR and already have a Paymob merchant account. The module takes one-time payments on the Paymob page. It has no saved cards, no subscriptions, no embedded card form, no capture or refunds from Magento (capture and refund in the Paymob dashboard) and no payments for orders created in the Admin.

Key features

Five Paymob countries: choose Egypt, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman or Pakistan; the module uses the Paymob server of that country and is shown only when the cart is in its currency.

Paid only when Paymob confirms: every callback and customer return is checked with your HMAC secret (SHA-512); unsigned requests change nothing.

Amount and currency check: the paid amount in minor units, the currency and the integration ID are compared with the order. A mismatch puts the order On Hold with a note and without an invoice.

Pending and authorized payments: cash or kiosk payments keep the order waiting until Paymob reports them; an authorization puts the order on hold until you capture it in the Paymob dashboard.

No double processing: callbacks and returns are processed under a per-cart lock, so repeats never invoice an order twice. A second payment is flagged with a note, and a cancelled order is never re-opened.

Declined payments: a declined payment cancels the waiting order and gives the cart back, with a message to try again.

Payment history in the order: a VibeFox Paymob Pay section on the admin order page lists every Paymob attempt with its transaction, amounts, card and message, also when the module is disabled.

Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Payment Methods configuration page, with encrypted keys, the callback URL with a Copy URL button, countries and minimum and maximum order totals, and a log without keys, tokens or customer data.

Requirements

Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4 with curl. A Paymob merchant account in Egypt, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman or Pakistan with the API key, integration ID, iFrame ID and HMAC secret, and the order currency of that country. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
