VibeFox MercadoPago for Adobe Commerce

Overview

VibeFox MercadoPago Gateway adds card payments with the MercadoPago Checkout API to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce for Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay. The customer types the card into MercadoPago secure fields at the payment step and clicks Place Order. Magento places the order in Pending Payment, and your store charges the one-time card token on the server. Card data never touches your site. The invoice and the order e-mail are created only after MercadoPago has approved the payment; a declined card cancels the order and restores the cart.

It suits Latin American stores that want a card form with installments on their own checkout page. The module takes credit and debit cards only. It has no Checkout Pro redirect, MercadoPago wallet, cash, Pix, PSE or Yape payments, no saved cards or subscriptions, no separate authorize and capture, no 3-D Secure challenge and no currency conversion.

Key features

Secure card fields: card number, expiry and security code are typed into MercadoPago fields at the payment step. Card issuer and cardholder document (DNI, CPF, RUT, CC and others) where the country needs them.

Installments: cuotas or parcelas with the options returned by MercadoPago for the cart total. The maximum you set is also enforced on the server.

Paid only when MercadoPago confirms: the amount and currency of every approved payment are compared with the order. A difference puts the order On Hold without an invoice, with a note.

Payment notifications: payments under review wait in Pending Payment and are completed automatically. Each notification is re-read from the MercadoPago API. Optional signature check.

No double charges: a paid cart is never charged again, the same card token always uses the same idempotency key, and after a timeout the next attempt first looks the payment up.

Test and live credentials: separate keys with a prefix check when you save. Refunds always use the credentials the payment was made with.

Online refunds with Credit Memo: full and partial refunds from the invoice, up to the amount MercadoPago charged. Charges without an invoice (amount mismatch, late payment) can be refunded from the order page.

Standard Magento settings: the Payment Methods page with settings per website and store view, encrypted access tokens, the notification URL and account warnings on the page, and a debug log.

Requirements

Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4. A MercadoPago application with test and production credentials (Public Key and Access Token). The store currency must be the currency of your MercadoPago account country. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
