VibeFox Authorize.Net for Adobe Commerce

Overview

VibeFox Authorize.Net Gateway adds an on-site credit card form for Authorize.Net to the checkout of Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. Authorize.Net's Accept.js library turns the card number, expiry date and card code into a one-time token in the customer's browser. Only that token reaches your server, so card data is never sent to or stored in your store. When the customer clicks Place Order, Magento places the order in Pending Payment and the module charges the token at once. The invoice is created and the order e-mail is sent only after Authorize.Net approves the payment.

It suits stores in the US, Canada, the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand that have an Authorize.Net merchant account and want customers to pay by card without leaving the checkout. The module has no saved cards or customer profiles, no subscriptions, no eCheck/ACH, Apple Pay, Google Pay or 3-D Secure, no partial capture of an authorization, no currency conversion and no payments for orders created in the Admin.

Key features

Card form with Accept.js: card number, expiration month and year and card security code fields right under the payment method at checkout. The card number and code never reach your server.

Authorize and capture, or authorize only: charge the card at once, or reserve the funds and capture them later with the standard Magento Invoice and Capture Online. An authorization can be voided with the standard Void or Cancel of the order.

Second chance after a decline: a declined card leaves the order in Pending Payment, and the customer can enter another card for the same order or go back to the cart, which cancels the order and restores the cart.

No double charges: one cart is paid only once, even with a double click, a second tab or a second order of the same cart. A payment with an unknown outcome is never repeated automatically.

Fraud review support: transactions held by the Fraud Detection Suite put the order On Hold with a note. Amount or currency mismatches also go On Hold without an invoice.

Webhooks (optional, recommended): fraud review decisions and captures or voids made in the Authorize.Net Merchant Interface update the order. Every notification is signed and re-checked with the Authorize.Net API.

Online refunds with Credit Memo: a full refund voids a transaction that is not settled yet; settled transactions can be refunded fully or partially through the standard Credit Memo of the invoice with Refund.

Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Payment Methods configuration page, with separate sandbox and live credentials, encrypted keys, the webhook URL and events shown on the page, countries and minimum and maximum order totals, and an error log with keys and personal data masked. Captures, refunds and webhook checks always use the environment the payment was made in.

Requirements

Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4 with the cURL extension, HTTPS on the checkout. An Authorize.Net account with API Login ID, Transaction Key and Public Client Key (plus a Signature Key for webhooks). Store currency USD, CAD, CHF, DKK, EUR, GBP, NOK, PLN, SEK, AUD or NZD. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
