VibeFox Wompi for Adobe Commerce

Overview

VibeFox Wompi Payment adds Wompi Colombia payments to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. The customer chooses Wompi at the payment step and clicks Place Order. Magento places the order in Pending Payment, and the customer goes to the Wompi Web Checkout and pays there with any payment method enabled in your Wompi account, such as cards, PSE, Nequi or Bancolombia. No payment data is entered on your site. The order is invoiced only after Wompi confirms the transaction, and the order e-mail is sent only then.

It suits stores in Colombia that sell in Colombian pesos (COP) and have a Wompi merchant account. The module does not refund from Magento: refunds and voids are made in the Wompi merchant dashboard and recorded in Magento with an offline credit memo. It has no saved cards, subscriptions, card fields on your site or payments for orders created in the Admin, and it does not support Wompi El Salvador or Panama.

Key features

Wompi Web Checkout: the payment request for the order total in COP is protected by the Wompi integrity signature.

Paid only when Wompi confirms: the invoice with the Wompi transaction ID is created after a signed Wompi event or after the transaction is read from the Wompi API when the customer returns. The data in the event or in the return address alone never pays an order.

Amount and currency check: the amount and currency of the approved transaction are compared with the payment attempt and the order. A mismatch puts the order On Hold with a note and without an invoice.

Delayed payments: PSE, Nequi and other payments that wait for confirmation keep the order in Pending Payment until Wompi approves or declines them. A declined, failed or voided payment cancels the order and gives the cart back.

No double processing: every transaction status is applied once, so repeated events and returns never create a second invoice. A second approved payment for the same cart only adds a note.

Sandbox and production: separate keys for each environment. Each payment attempt keeps the environment it was made in, and a sandbox transaction never confirms a production payment.

Clear availability: the payment method is shown only for orders in COP from COP 1,500 with all four keys of the current mode set. The settings page warns you when keys are missing.

Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Payment Methods configuration page, with encrypted keys, the Events URL shown on the page, countries and minimum and maximum order totals, and an optional log without keys or customer data. The admin order page lists all Wompi payment attempts of the order.

Requirements

Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4. Colombian peso (COP) as the order currency. A Wompi Colombia merchant account with the public key, private key, events secret and integrity secret of the sandbox and of production. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
