VibeFox Montonio for Adobe Commerce

Overview

VibeFox Montonio Payment adds Montonio bank payments (payment initiation) to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. The customer chooses the bank payment at the payment step and clicks Place Order. Magento places the order in Pending Payment, and the customer goes to the Montonio payment page, picks a bank of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland or Poland, pays from the bank account and comes back to your store. Bank login and payment happen on the Montonio and bank pages, not on your site. The order is invoiced only after Montonio confirms the payment, and the order e-mail is sent only then.

It suits stores in the Baltics, Finland and Poland that sell in EUR or PLN and want direct bank payments with a Montonio account. The module takes bank payments only. It has no card payments, BLIK, Apple Pay or Google Pay, Pay Later or financing, Montonio shipping, subscriptions, saved payment methods, bank selection on your own site, capture or void from Magento and no payments for orders created in the Admin.

Key features

Montonio payment page: a payment is created for the order total in EUR or PLN. Banks of the customer's billing country are shown first, and the page opens in the store language when Montonio supports it.

Paid only when Montonio confirms: the order is invoiced only for a signed Montonio confirmation. Confirmations come by a server notification and with the customer's return, so a lost notification does not leave paid orders unconfirmed.

Amount and currency check: the amount and currency reported by Montonio are compared with the order. A mismatch puts the order On Hold with a note and without an invoice.

No setup in Montonio: the notification URL is sent with every payment, so there is no webhook to create in the Montonio Partner System.

No double processing: repeated notifications never invoice an order twice. Before a new payment attempt, the module checks whether the previous one is already paid, so the customer does not pay twice. A cancelled or rejected payment cancels the waiting order and gives the cart back.

Sandbox and live modes: separate key pairs for each environment. Every payment keeps its environment: confirmations and refunds use its keys, and a sandbox payment never completes an order in live mode.

Online refunds with Credit Memo: full and partial refunds through the standard Magento Credit Memo of the invoice with Refund, limited to the amount Montonio charged. Montonio's confirmation or rejection of a refund is added to the notes. Charges held without an invoice can be refunded from the order page.

Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Payment Methods configuration page, with encrypted secret keys, the notification URL shown on the page, countries and minimum and maximum order totals, and an optional log without keys, tokens or customer data.

Requirements

Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4 with the cURL extension. Order currency EUR or PLN. A Montonio account with the access key and secret key of your store (sandbox and live). The store must be reachable from the internet for payment notifications. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
