Overview
VibeFox PayU India Payment Gateway adds payments through the PayU India hosted checkout to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. The customer chooses PayU India at the payment step and clicks Place Order. Magento places the order in Pending Payment, and the customer is sent to the PayU payment page and pays there by credit or debit card, NetBanking, UPI or a wallet (whatever is enabled on your PayU account). Card and bank data never touch your site. The order is invoiced only after PayU sends a signed result, and the order e-mail is sent only then.
It suits Indian stores that sell in rupees and want PayU's payment methods without building payment forms on their own site. The module charges in INR only and has no multi-currency processing. It has no saved cards or tokenization, no subscriptions, no on-site card form, no EMI or offer management, no one-click checkout and no payments for orders created in the Admin. Refunds are queued at PayU; the module does not track their final status.
Key features
PayU hosted checkout: one payment method PayU India at checkout. The payment request is signed with SHA-512 using your Merchant Key and Salt.
Paid only when PayU confirms: a result is accepted only with a valid PayU reverse hash made with the Salt of the mode in which the payment was started, and only for a transaction ID your store issued. The paid amount must equal the amount sent and the order total to the paisa, in INR. A mismatch puts the order On Hold without an invoice.
Server-side verification: optionally (on by default) every successful payment is double-checked with the PayU verify_payment API. If the check cannot be completed, the order is put on hold and the next delivery of the result checks again.
No double processing: the customer's return and the webhook may arrive together; repeated results never create a second invoice. A later failure never changes a paid order, and a cancelled or refunded order is not reopened.
Pending UPI and NetBanking payments: the order waits in Pending Payment until the final result arrives. A failed or cancelled payment cancels the order and gives the cart back to the customer.
Separate Test and Live credentials: switching the mode switches both the keys and the PayU endpoints. Result checks and refunds always use the mode of the payment.
Online refunds with Credit Memo: full and partial refunds from the invoice with Refund, protected against sending the same refund twice. Payments that have no invoice, for example a payment for a cancelled order, can be refunded with a separate protected action on the order page.
Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Payment Methods configuration page, with encrypted salts, the return and webhook URLs shown on the page, countries and minimum and maximum order totals, and a log that masks keys, salts and e-mails. The order page shows a PayU payment history with transaction IDs, amounts and refund requests.
