Overview
VibeFox TrustPay Gateway adds card payments through finby (formerly TrustPay) to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. The customer chooses the card payment at the payment step and clicks Place Order. Magento places the order in Pending Payment, and the customer goes to the secure finby payment page with 3-D Secure and pays by card there. Card data never touches your site. The order is invoiced only after finby confirms the payment with a signed notification, and the order e-mail is sent only then.
It suits stores that want to accept cards with a finby project without building a card form on their own site. It takes card payments only. It has no bank transfers or other finby payment methods, no Apple Pay or Google Pay buttons on your site, no saved cards, no subscriptions, no separate authorize and capture, no status polling and no payments for orders created in the Admin.
Key features
finby payment page: a card payment request is created for the order total in the order currency (EUR, CZK, HUF, GBP, PLN, NOK, SEK, DKK, BGN, RON, CHF or USD). HUF amounts are sent without decimals. The page opens in the language of the store view when finby supports it, otherwise in English.
Paid only when finby confirms: only the signed server-to-server notification from finby invoices the order. The return of the customer never marks a payment as paid.
Amount and currency check: the paid amount and currency are compared with the payment request and the order. A mismatch puts the order On Hold with a note and without an invoice.
No double processing: repeated notifications never invoice an order twice. A second payment for a paid order or cart is only noted, and no second payment is started while an earlier one is still being confirmed.
Test and live projects: separate Project ID and Secret key for the test (playground) and the live project. A test payment never confirms a live one, and refunds always go to the project the order was paid through.
Online refunds with Credit Memo: full and partial refunds through the standard Magento Credit Memo of the invoice with Refund, up to the amount the customer actually paid. A refund with an uncertain result is never sent twice.
Order status of your choice: Processing or Complete after a successful payment. A cancelled or rejected payment cancels the waiting order and gives the cart back.
Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Payment Methods configuration page, with encrypted secret keys, the notification URL shown on the page, countries and minimum and maximum order totals, the TrustPay payment history on the order page and an optional log without keys or customer data.
Requirements
Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4 with the cURL extension. A finby (TrustPay) project with its Project ID and Secret key, and a test (playground) project for test payments. The notification URL of your store must be reachable from the internet. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
