Overview
VibeFox Nexi XPay Gateway adds card payments with Nexi XPay (Italy) to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. The customer chooses Nexi XPay at the payment step and clicks Place Order. Magento places the order in Pending Payment, and the customer is sent to the secure Nexi XPay payment page, pays and comes back to your store. Card data never touches your site. The order is invoiced only after Nexi confirms the payment, and the order e-mail is sent only then.
It suits Italian stores that sell in EUR and have a Nexi XPay merchant account with the "Pagamento Semplice" redirect integration. The module takes one-time payments with immediate or deferred capture. It has no online refunds from Magento (refunds are made in the Nexi XPay back office), no saved cards or OneClick, subscriptions, Pay-By-Link, embedded XPay Build fields or payments for orders created in the Admin.
Key features
Nexi XPay payment page: the payment is sent to the Nexi page in EUR with a new transaction code for every attempt and the order number and your store name as the description. The Nexi page opens in the language of the store view when Nexi supports it.
Paid only when Nexi confirms: the order is invoiced only after a Nexi result signed with your MAC key, from the alias of the right environment and with a transaction code issued for that order. The invoice carries the Nexi transaction code as the transaction ID.
No setup in Nexi: the server-to-server notification URL is sent with every payment. The notification and the signed customer return can both confirm the payment, whichever arrives first.
Amount and currency check: the amount and currency received from Nexi are compared with the order. A mismatch puts the order On Hold with a note and without an invoice.
No double processing: repeated or simultaneous results never invoice an order twice, a paid order is never changed by a later result, and a second payment for the same cart is reported in a note. A declined payment cancels the waiting order and gives the cart back.
Immediate or deferred capture: with deferred capture the payment is only authorized, and you capture it with a standard Magento invoice and Capture Online.
Test and live modes: separate alias and MAC key for each environment. Each payment is verified and captured with the keys of the environment it was made in.
Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Payment Methods configuration page, with encrypted MAC keys, the notification URL shown on the page, countries and minimum and maximum order totals, the order status after payment and an optional log without keys or e-mail addresses. The admin order page shows the Nexi environment, transaction, authorization code and captured transaction.
Requirements
Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4. Order currency EUR. A Nexi XPay merchant account with the alias and MAC key of your terminal (test and live). A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
