Overview
VibeFox GMO Payment Gateway adds credit card payments through GMO Payment Gateway (GMO-PG) to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. The customer chooses the card payment at the payment step and clicks Place Order. Magento places the order in Pending Payment, and the customer goes to the GMO-PG hosted payment page (Link Type Plus), pays by card with 3-D Secure 2.0 handled by GMO-PG and comes back to your store. Card data never touches your site. The order is invoiced only after GMO-PG confirms the payment, and the order e-mail is sent only then.
It suits Japanese stores that sell in yen and have a GMO-PG merchant contract with Link Type Plus. The module takes credit card payments in Japanese Yen only. It has no other GMO-PG payment methods (convenience store, Pay-easy, PayPay, carrier billing), no other currencies, no saved cards or member registration, no installments, no subscriptions, no on-site card form and no payments for orders created in the Admin.
Key features
GMO-PG Link Type Plus: a payment page is created for the order total in whole yen. The cards accepted are the ones in your GMO-PG contract.
Paid only when GMO-PG confirms: the result notification, the customer's return and a scheduled check every few minutes all ask GMO-PG for the transaction (SearchTrade). The invoice with the GMO-PG transaction ID is created only from that answer. An amount that differs from the order puts it On Hold without an invoice.
Signed return: the result sent back with the customer is checked with the Shop password of the payment's environment. Forged or foreign results are ignored.
No double processing: repeated or simultaneous notifications never invoice an order twice. A new payment attempt for the same cart closes the previous unpaid payment link, and a second payment of the same cart is flagged for review.
Capture now or authorize only: charge the card at once, or only authorize it and capture later with Capture payment (GMO-PG) on the order page, which creates the invoice.
Online refunds with Credit Memo: full and partial refunds in whole yen through the standard Magento Credit Memo of the invoice with Refund, always in the environment the payment was made in.
Test and production: separate credentials for the GMO-PG test and production environments. A test notification never confirms a production payment.
Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Payment Methods configuration page, with encrypted passwords, the notification URL shown on the page, countries and minimum and maximum order totals, a GMO-PG history block on the order page and an optional log with passwords and customer data masked.
Requirements
Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4. A GMO Payment Gateway merchant contract with Link Type Plus (Shop ID, Shop password, Config ID) and the result notification turned on. Japanese Yen (JPY) as the checkout currency. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
