VibeFox Mondial Relay for WooCommerce — Help

Requirements

WordPress: 5.8 or later.

WooCommerce: 7.0 or later, installed and active. The plugin refuses to activate without it.

PHP: 8.0 or later.

Mondial Relay account: the brand code (Enseigne) and the Private Key come with a Mondial Relay business account: see the professionals section of mondialrelay.fr, your "Connect" customer area or your sales contact. The map selector needs only the brand code. The list of nearest points needs both. For tests Mondial Relay provides the brand code BDTEST13 with the Private Key PrivateK.

VibeFox license key: bought on vibefox.net. One key works on one domain.

Installation

1. In WordPress go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, choose the plugin ZIP file and click Install Now. You can also upload the vfd_mondialrelay folder to /wp-content/plugins/ by FTP.

2. Click Activate.

3. Open the settings: WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > VibeFox Mondial Relay, or click Settings under the plugin name on the Plugins page.

4. Enter your VibeFox license key in the license block at the top of the page and click Activate.

5. Enter your brand code (Enseigne) and, for the list mode, the Private Key. Fill in Country prices.

6. Add VibeFox Mondial Relay to the zones of your delivery countries in WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > Shipping zones, or turn on Ignore shipping zones.

Configuration

All settings are on one page: WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > VibeFox Mondial Relay. They apply to every shipping zone. When you add the method to a zone, the zone window has only one field:

Title (zone): the name of this option at checkout. Leave it empty to use the global Name.

Warnings at the top of the page show problems that hide the method: a missing brand code, a missing Private Key in list mode, and no price for France, Belgium or Spain.

General

Enable/Disable: turns Mondial Relay on or off globally.

Name: the shipping method name shown to customers at checkout. Default: Mondial Relay Point Relais.

Tax status: Taxable adds WooCommerce tax to the shipping cost, None does not.

Mondial Relay account

Brand code (Enseigne): required, up to 8 characters, for example BDTEST13 for tests. Used by the pickup point map and by the Web Service. Without it customers cannot choose a Point Relais, so the method is not shown at checkout.

Private Key: needed only for the List of nearest points selector. When the brand code and the Private Key are set, the connection to the Mondial Relay Web Service is tested every time you save the settings, and a message shows whether they are valid.

Pickup point selector

Selector: how the customer chooses a Point Relais.

Mondial Relay map (official widget, brand code only): the official Mondial Relay Parcel Shop Picker, loaded from Mondial Relay when the customer opens it. This is the default.

List of nearest points (Web Service, needs the Private Key): a drop-down of the nearest points for the delivery postcode, loaded by your server. If the Web Service fails, the map is offered instead.

Rates (in your store currency)

Country prices: price by destination country and parcel weight. Click + Add country to add a row and the cross to remove one. Use the * Default row for all other countries. Each row has a Price and weight columns: XS up to 1 kg, S 1-2 kg, M 2-3 kg, L 3-5 kg and XL over 5 kg. An empty or 0 weight column uses the Price column. Decimals with a dot or a comma (4.90 or 4,90). Rows without any price are dropped when you save, and values that are not numbers are reported and left empty.

Fallback cost: used for countries without a row in the table. Leave it empty to hide the method for them.

Calculation type: how the price is counted.

Per order (weight of the whole parcel): one price for the cart, with the weight column chosen by the total cart weight. This is the default.

Per item (each item priced by its own weight): every item is priced by its own weight and multiplied by its quantity, and the prices are added up.

Free shipping from: the cart subtotal (after discounts, without tax) from which the delivery is free. Leave empty for no free shipping.

Availability

Min weight (kg): hide the method when the cart weighs less. 0 means no limit.

Max weight (kg): hide the method when the cart weighs more. Mondial Relay accepts parcels up to 30 kg in Points Relais. Default: 30. 0 means no limit.

Minimum subtotal: show the method only when the cart subtotal is at least this amount. Leave empty to always show it.

Disabled shipping classes: hide the method when the cart contains items of these WooCommerce shipping classes.

Ignore shipping zones: offer the method for the countries below, or for every supported country when the list is empty, even when no shipping zone contains it.

Countries (ignore zones): the destination countries for that mode. This field is used only when Ignore shipping zones is on.

Advanced

Debug log: logs rate calculation and Web Service calls to WooCommerce > Status > Logs (source vfd-mondialrelay). Errors are always logged, even with this option off. No keys or customer data are logged.

Remove data on uninstall: when on, deleting the plugin removes the settings and zone methods. Deactivation never deletes anything. The pickup points saved in orders are kept.

How it works at checkout

The method is offered only for countries with Points Relais: France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands. It is hidden when customers could not choose a point: without a brand code, or in list mode without the Private Key.

When the customer enters a delivery address, WooCommerce asks the plugin for a rate. The plugin checks the cart weight, the minimum subtotal and the disabled shipping classes. The price comes from the row of the country (or the * row): the weight column, else Price. Without a row, the fallback cost is used. If there is no price, the method is hidden. If the subtotal reaches Free shipping from, the price becomes 0.

The method works on the classic checkout and on the Cart and Checkout blocks. It is compatible with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).

The plugin does not request live rates: Mondial Relay has no public rate API. It does not create shipments, print labels or track parcels. Create the shipments in your Mondial Relay "Connect" space using the Point Relais number shown in the order. Home delivery (Domicile) is not offered.

Pickup points

Map mode: when the customer selects Mondial Relay, the button Choose a Point Relais appears under the method. It opens the official Mondial Relay map for the delivery country, postcode and parcel weight. After the customer picks a point, it is shown as Selected: and the button changes to Change Point Relais. The map widget is loaded from widget.mondialrelay.com and its map library from unpkg.com only when the customer opens the map. Mention this in your privacy policy.

List mode: a drop-down - Choose a Point Relais - shows the 10 nearest points for the delivery postcode, with their distance. The chosen point is shown with its opening hours. The list is loaded by your server, so no third-party script runs in the browser. Lists are cached for 12 hours, an empty answer for 1 hour, and a failed request is remembered for 5 minutes. The Web Service timeout is 10 seconds. If the list is not available, the customer sees "The list of pickup points is not available right now. Please use the map." and the map is offered.

A point is required. Without one, the customer sees Please choose a Mondial Relay pickup point. and the order is not placed. A point in another country than the delivery address is refused. In list mode the point is also checked against the list for the address.

The Point Relais number, country, name and address are saved in the order. They are shown on the order screen under the shipping address (with the Point Relais number), on the thank-you page, in My account > Orders and in the order e-mails (HTML and plain text) as Mondial Relay pickup point.

License key

The plugin works with a VibeFox license key from vibefox.net. The license block is at the top of WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > VibeFox Mondial Relay. Paste the key into License key and click Activate. The block shows the status, for example the date the license is active until and your domain. Use Check now to check the status again, Change key to enter another key and Remove key to remove it from this site. The link Manage licenses and domains in your account opens your vibefox.net account.

One key works on one domain. Removing the key from a site does not free its domain slot. Free the slot in your vibefox.net account.

Without an active key, Mondial Relay is not shown to customers at checkout. Logged-in store managers still see it, marked (unlicensed — visible to admins only), so you can set up and test the plugin before you buy a key. A reminder appears on the Plugins page and on WooCommerce pages. Existing orders are not affected.

When a license expires, the plugin keeps working, but updates and support need a renewal. The status is checked again automatically in the background.

Troubleshooting

Mondial Relay does not appear at checkout: check that the license is active, Enable/Disable is on, and the method is added to the zone of the customer's country (or Ignore shipping zones is on and the country is allowed). Check the warnings at the top of the settings page: the method is hidden without a brand code, in list mode without the Private Key, for a country without a price, outside the weight and subtotal limits, and for countries without Points Relais.

Web Service test failed after saving: the message shows the Mondial Relay error, for example an invalid brand code or an invalid security key. Check the brand code and the Private Key with Mondial Relay.

The list of points is empty or not available: the customer needs to enter a postcode first. If the Web Service fails, the map is offered instead. Turn on Debug log and open WooCommerce > Status > Logs, source vfd-mondialrelay, for the reason.

The map does not open: the map is loaded from widget.mondialrelay.com and unpkg.com. Check that a privacy or script blocker does not block them. Developers can change the script URLs with the filters vfd_mrel_widget_script_url, vfd_mrel_leaflet_script_url and vfd_mrel_leaflet_style_url. The list of supported countries can be changed with the vfd_mrel_supported_countries filter.

The license block shows an error: follow the message in the block. For example, if the key is already used on another domain, free a slot in your vibefox.net account and click Check now. If the site address changed, click Check now to activate the key for the new domain. If the license server cannot be reached, the plugin keeps working on the last known status.

Uninstall

Deactivating the plugin keeps all settings. Only the cached pickup point lists are cleared. To remove it, deactivate and delete it on the Plugins page. The license key and license status of this plugin and the caches are always removed. Settings and zone methods are removed only if Remove data on uninstall was on. Otherwise they stay for a later re-install. The pickup points saved in orders are kept, and existing orders keep their shipping lines.
