VibeFox DPD Pickup for WooCommerce — Help

Requirements

WordPress: 5.8 or later.

WooCommerce: 7.0 or later, installed and active. The plugin refuses to activate without it.

PHP: 8.0 or later.

DPD Baltic credentials (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia): the pickup point list comes from the DPD Baltic web service. You need the API username and password that DPD gives to its business customers. Ask your DPD account manager or the DPD customer service of your country. One account lists the pickup points of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

DPD Slovakia: the public DPD Slovakia parcelshop search needs no credentials.

VibeFox license key: bought on vibefox.net. One key works on one domain.

Installation

1. In WordPress go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, choose the plugin ZIP file and click Install Now. You can also upload the vfd_dpd_pickup folder to /wp-content/plugins/ by FTP.

2. Click Activate.

3. Open the settings: WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > VibeFox DPD Pickup, or click Settings under the plugin name on the Plugins page.

4. Enter your VibeFox license key in the license block at the top of the page and click Activate.

5. Choose your DPD API. For DPD Lithuania, Latvia or Estonia enter the API username and password. Enter the prices per country and save. Click Refresh pickup points to check the connection (see Configuration).

6. Add VibeFox DPD Pickup to your shipping zones in WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > Shipping zones, or turn on Ignore shipping zones.

Configuration

All settings are on one page: WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > VibeFox DPD Pickup. They apply to every shipping zone. When you add the method to a zone, the zone window has only one field:

Title (zone): the name of this option at checkout for this zone. Leave it empty to use the global Name.

Warnings above the settings tell you when the DPD Baltic username or password is empty and when no prices are set. Every time you save the settings, the pickup point cache is cleared.

General

Enable/Disable: turns the method on or off in all zones at once.

Name: the shipping method name shown at checkout. Default: DPD Pickup Point.

Tax status: Taxable adds WooCommerce tax to the shipping cost, None does not.

DPD pickup point list

Pickup points are loaded from DPD and cached for 24 hours.

DPD API: the DPD company your account is with. Baltic accounts use the web service of their own country.

DPD Lithuania - Baltic API (integracijos.dpd.lt): needs the Baltic username and password.
DPD Latvia - Baltic API (integration.dpd.lv): needs the Baltic username and password.
DPD Estonia - Baltic API (integration.dpd.ee): needs the Baltic username and password.
DPD Slovakia - parcelshop search (api.dpd.sk, no credentials): the default. Lists the pickup points within 50 km of the customer's city and postcode, so the points appear once the customer has entered them.

API username (Baltic): your DPD Baltic web service username. Not needed for DPD Slovakia.

API password (Baltic): your DPD Baltic web service password. Not needed for DPD Slovakia.

Pickup points: the Refresh pickup points button clears the cache and loads the pickup points from DPD now: Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia for the Baltic API, a test search in Bratislava for DPD Slovakia. It shows the result per country. Save the settings first.

Prices

Shipping prices are fixed per country, in the store currency. DPD prices are not requested from the API.

Country prices: one line per country: CC:price, for example EE:3.50. A decimal comma is accepted. Default: SK:3.50, LT:4.00, LV:4.00, EE:4.00.

Fallback cost: the price for countries that are not in Country prices. Default: 5.00. Leave it empty to offer the method only in the listed countries.

Calculation type: Per order charges the price once. Per item (price x quantity) multiplies it by the number of items in the cart.

Free shipping from: shipping is free when the order subtotal (after coupons) reaches this amount. Leave empty to turn it off.

Availability

The method is also hidden when DPD returns no pickup points for the customer's address or the DPD API cannot be reached, because an order cannot be delivered without a pickup point.

Min weight (kg): the minimum cart weight. Product weights are converted from your store weight unit. Empty or 0 means no limit.

Max weight (kg): heavier carts do not see the method. Default: 31.5. 0 means no limit. Check the parcel limits of DPD Pickup points and lockers in your country.

Minimum subtotal: show the method only when the order subtotal is at least this amount. Leave empty to always show it.

Excluded shipping classes: the method is hidden when the cart contains a product of one of these WooCommerce shipping classes.

Ignore shipping zones: offer the method for the countries below, even when the customer's shipping zone does not contain it. Off means you add the method to shipping zones as usual.

Countries: the destination countries for that mode. Leave empty for all countries. Used only with Ignore shipping zones.

Pickup point selector

City order: show major cities first (Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius, Bratislava and others). On by default.

City list width: the CSS width of the city list, for example 100% or 300px. Default: 100%.

Pickup point list width: the CSS width of the pickup point list, for example 100% or 400px. Default: 100%.

Advanced

Debug log: logs API requests and checkout steps in WooCommerce > Status > Logs, source vfd-dpd-pickup. API errors are always logged, even when this is off. Credentials are never logged.

Remove data on uninstall: when on, deleting the plugin removes its settings and zone methods. Deactivation never deletes settings. The pickup point saved in orders is always kept.

How it works at checkout

When the customer enters a delivery address, WooCommerce asks the plugin for a price. The plugin checks the cart weight, the minimum subtotal and the excluded shipping classes, takes the price for the country (or the fallback cost) and applies free shipping if the subtotal is high enough. Then it loads the DPD pickup points for the address. If DPD returns none, cannot be reached or the Baltic credentials are missing, the method is hidden.

A pickup point list is cached for 24 hours. A failed request is remembered for 5 minutes, so a DPD outage never slows down the checkout. The API timeout is 15 seconds.

The method works on the classic checkout and on the Cart and Checkout blocks. It is compatible with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).

The plugin does not request DPD prices, create DPD shipments, print labels, create manifests, order courier pickups, track parcels or show a map. Only the DPD Baltic web service and the DPD Slovakia parcelshop search are supported.

Pickup points

When the customer selects DPD Pickup, a city list and a pickup point list appear under the method. The city of the customer's address is pre-selected. With DPD Slovakia, the customer first enters the city and postcode, then sees the points nearby. A pickup point is required. The server checks that the point belongs to the customer's country and address, so a forged or outdated choice is refused.

The chosen point is saved in the order. It is shown on the order screen under the shipping address, on the thank-you page, in My account > Orders and in the order e-mails (HTML and plain text) as DPD pickup point. The name saved in the order comes from DPD, not from the browser.

On the order screen, click Edit next to the pickup point, choose a city and another point. The point is checked against the DPD list for the order address. The order needs a shipping city and postcode to change the point.

License key

The plugin works with a VibeFox license key from vibefox.net. The license block is at the top of WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > VibeFox DPD Pickup. Paste the key into License key and click Activate. The block shows the status, for example the date the license is active until and your domain. Use Check now to check the status again, Change key to enter another key and Remove key to remove it from this site. The link Manage licenses and domains in your account opens your vibefox.net account.

One key works on one domain. Removing the key from a site does not free its domain slot. Free the slot in your vibefox.net account.

Without an active key, DPD Pickup is not shown to customers at checkout. Logged-in store managers still see it, marked (unlicensed — visible to admins only), so you can set up and test the plugin before you buy a key. A reminder appears on the Plugins page and on WooCommerce pages. Existing orders are not affected.

When a license expires, the plugin keeps working, but updates and support need a renewal. The status is checked again automatically in the background.

Troubleshooting

DPD Pickup does not appear at checkout: check that the license is active, Enable/Disable is on, and the method is added to the zone of the customer's country (or Ignore shipping zones is on and the country is allowed). Check the warnings at the top of the settings page and click Refresh pickup points. Check the weight and subtotal limits, the excluded shipping classes and that the country has a price (or a fallback cost).

"Login failed" after Refresh pickup points: DPD rejected the Baltic credentials, so no pickup point can be loaded. Check the API username and password with DPD.

DPD Slovakia shows no points: the points appear once the customer has entered the city and postcode. DPD lists only the points within 50 km of that address.

Finding the reason: turn on Debug log. Every decision is written to WooCommerce > Status > Logs, source vfd-dpd-pickup. API errors are always logged. API usernames and passwords are never written to the log.

The license block shows an error: follow the message in the block. For example, if the key is already used on another domain, free a slot in your vibefox.net account and click Check now. If the site address changed, click Check now to activate the key for the new domain. If the license server cannot be reached, the plugin keeps working on the last known status.

Uninstall

Deactivating the plugin keeps all settings. It only clears the pickup point cache. To remove the plugin, deactivate and delete it on the Plugins page. The license key and license status of this plugin are always removed, as is the pickup point cache. Settings and zone methods are removed only if Remove data on uninstall was on. Otherwise they stay for a later re-install. The pickup point stored in orders is never deleted, and existing orders keep their shipping lines.
