VibeFox Bollinger is a real-time Bollinger Bands indicator for MetaTrader 5. It plots the classic trio of lines — a middle line with one band on each side — right on the price chart, marks the moment an entry signal appears, and gathers every control into one modern interactive panel. Instead of manually watching whether price has stretched to a band and when it is due to revert, you see volatility, the boundaries of the move and the entry point exactly as they form.

Description

VibeFox Bollinger — volatility, bands and entry points

VibeFox Bollinger is a real-time Bollinger Bands indicator for MetaTrader 5. It plots the classic trio of lines — a middle line with one band on each side — right on the price chart, marks the moment an entry signal appears, and gathers every control into one modern interactive panel. Instead of manually watching whether price has stretched to a band and when it is due to revert, you see volatility, the boundaries of the move and the entry point exactly as they form.

What Bollinger Bands show

The indicator is built on a simple but powerful idea. First a middle line is calculated from price: a simple moving average (SMA) over the chosen period. Then an upper and a lower band are placed above and below it, at a distance equal to the standard deviation of price multiplied by the Deviation factor. The result is a corridor that breathes with the market.

It reads at a glance. When the market is quiet the bands narrow and hug the middle line — that is a squeeze, a sign of low volatility and calm before a move. When the market wakes up the bands spread apart — that is expansion, a burst of volatility. Price itself spends most of its time inside the corridor, while touches of the upper and lower bands mark zones where the move is stretched and often snaps back toward the middle.

Period and Deviation

The shape of the corridor is set by two parameters. Period is the averaging period of the middle line in bars; 20 is considered classic. Deviation is the standard-deviation multiplier that sets the width of the bands; the classic value is 2.0. A larger Deviation pushes the bands apart and keeps almost all movement inside, while a smaller one tightens the corridor and makes touches more frequent. In addition, Shift moves all bands right by a chosen number of bars, and Applied Price selects which price the bands are built from — Close, Open, High, Low, Median, Typical or Weighted.

Entry points

The core value of VibeFox Bollinger is its automatic entry points: the indicator tracks the conditions itself and places a clear arrow marker right on the price chart. Signals are evaluated only on closed bars, so arrows never repaint. Two independent signal types are available, each with its own toggle.

Entry — band touch (mean-reversion)

The primary signal works on price returning into the corridor. When the close was at or below the lower band and then comes back above it, a BUY marker is placed; when the close was at or above the upper band and then drops back below it, a SELL marker is placed. This is mean-reversion logic: the indicator catches the moment a stretched move begins to pull back toward the middle line.

Mid Cross — middle line cross

The second signal fires on a cross of the middle line. If the close crosses the middle line upward, a BUY marker is placed; if it crosses downward, a SELL marker. This is useful as a signal that the short-term balance around the moving average has changed — use it on its own or together with band touches.

Buy and sell markers are colored separately with Buy Marker and Sell Marker, so the direction reads instantly, while the Marker Size control scales the arrows from 1 to 5 to fit any chart density.

Full visual control

Every line is tunable to your taste. The color of the upper and lower bands is set through Band, the color of the middle line through Middle, and each has its own transparency slider: you can make the bands a faint backdrop and the middle line a bold accent, or the other way around. A single Line Width control sets the thickness of all three lines in pixels, so the picture stays legible on a dense intraday chart and on a sparse higher timeframe alike.

Interactive on-chart panel

The whole interface is a smooth canvas-based panel built for fast mouse control. All parameters are organized into tidy three-column rows, and the entry block is set off by its own gold ENTRY header so signal settings never get mixed up with band settings. The panel header holds the control icons.

Power — turns the drawing of bands and signals on and off without removing the indicator from the chart.

Settings (gear) — opens and closes the settings panel.

Updown (arrows) — moves the panel between a separate subwindow and the main chart.

Close (cross) — closes the indicator.

Resizable — drag the bottom-right corner to scale the panel.

Collapsible — double-click the header to collapse the panel into a compact strip.

Mouse wheel — hover over any Number field and scroll the wheel to change the value without opening the keyboard.

Settings and personalization

The Settings button opens a section where the panel adapts to your workspace: a light, dark or automatic Theme, an adjustable panel width, Header size, Row height and Font size. Extra touches let you hide the bottom strip with Hide Footer, shrink the header when collapsed via Mini Header, and auto-collapse the panel on a click outside it. Almost every parameter can be changed live right on the panel — the input fields on the Inputs tab only set the starting values. You can also run several independent copies on one chart by giving each a unique Instance, to watch different band settings side by side.

Entry notifications

You do not have to sit and guard the chart waiting for a signal. Every entry can be sent through several notification channels, switched on independently right in the panel, in the NOTIFY ENTRIES group.

Alert — a popup message inside the terminal.

Push — a mobile notification to the MetaTrader app on your phone.

Email — a message sent through the terminal’s mail settings.

Telegram — the alert text together with a chart screenshot, sent straight to your Telegram chat.

Enable only the channels you need and you will be notified the moment a new entry appears on the symbol and timeframe you are working with. Each notification is sent once per bar.

Visual history (HTML report)

Turn on the Html channel and every entry signal is saved into an HTML report together with a screenshot of the chart at the moment it fired. The report is stored in the terminal’s Files folder, in the VibeFox_Bollinger directory (file result.html), and opens in any browser — a visual log of every entry the indicator found. A one-click trash button clears the report and its screenshots whenever you want to start fresh.

Telegram Alerts

Signals can also be delivered straight to your Telegram chat — the alert text together with a screenshot of the chart at the moment of detection. Turn on the Telegram channel and enter your bot token and chat id in the inputs.

Delivery rides on the HTML report: each new signal is written into the report, and the report — opened in a browser — forwards it to your Telegram chat on its own. For this reason, enabling Telegram automatically keeps the Html report on, and the two channels work together.

Built-in multilingual help

A full help page is built into the panel, available in 10 languages, so every control is explained right where you use it.
