Overview
VibeFox SMSA Express adds an SMSA Express shipping method to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. Customers choose SMSA Express at the shipping step of checkout and pay a price from your SMSA Express rate card or, optionally, a live charge from the SMSA web service for their city and cart weight.
It suits stores that ship within Saudi Arabia, to the Gulf and the Middle East, or internationally with SMSA Express. The module only calculates the shipping price. It does not create SMSA shipments, print AWB labels, handle returns, track parcels, add cash on delivery or let customers choose an SMSA retail point.
Key features
Price table from your rate card: one row per destination country and a row for all other countries, with a base price and optional prices for five weight tiers from 1 kg to over 5 kg.
Live charges (optional): with the passKey of your SMSA account, the module asks the SMSA web service (getShipCharges) for the charge by ship-from city, destination city and country, and weight.
Always a price: whenever SMSA returns no usable charge, the price table is used. An optional price covers countries that are not in the table.
Currency handling: SMSA charges come with their currency, usually SAR. A charge in your base currency is used as it is, a charge in SAR is converted with your exchange rate. Magento shows the price in the customer's currency.
Per order or per item: one parcel by the total cart weight, or every item as a parcel of its own weight.
Fast checkout: live charges are cached for an hour, failures for 5 minutes, and a failing service is paused, so the checkout never waits on every refresh. Errors never reach the customer.
Shipping rules: minimum and maximum cart weight, minimum order amount, free shipping from an order amount, and the countries you ship to. Magento cart price rules with free shipping work as usual, and tax on shipping follows your store's tax settings.
Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Delivery Methods configuration page, with sections for live rates, prices, conditions and availability, settings per website, an encrypted passKey and a debug log viewer. Wrong numbers are refused with a clear error.
Requirements
Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4. Your SMSA Express rate card for the price table. Live charges need an SMSA web service passKey, issued by SMSA on request, and the PHP cURL extension. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
