Overview
VibeFox Packeta adds a Packeta pickup point shipping method to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. When the customer selects it at the shipping step of checkout, a Choose a Packeta pickup point button opens the official Packeta widget with a map and search of Packeta pickup points and Z-BOXes. The chosen point is required to continue checkout and is saved with the order.
It suits stores that deliver to Packeta (Zásilkovna) pickup points in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania. Packeta has no public rate API, so prices come from your own table. The module does not create Packeta shipments, print labels, track parcels or offer home delivery.
Key features
Official Packeta widget: map and search of pickup points and Z-BOXes in a popup window at the shipping step of the standard Magento checkout. The cart weight is passed to the widget, so it lists only points that accept the parcel. Offer pickup points and Z-BOXes, pickup points only or Z-BOXes only, in the storefront language or a fixed language.
Required pickup point: the customer cannot click past Next without a point, and a point in another country than the shipping address is refused. Both checks also run on the server when the shipping step is saved and when the order is placed. The choice is saved to the cart and kept when the page reloads.
Point in the order: the point name, address and ID are added to the shipping description of the order, so they appear in the order in the customer account, in the order e-mails and on invoices. A Packeta pickup point block is shown on the admin order page and in the order view of the customer account and of guest orders.
Cancelled payment, new choice: if the payment is cancelled at the payment provider and Magento restores the cart, the customer can choose a pickup point again. The next order gets the new point, and the earlier order keeps its own.
API key check: the key is checked with Packeta when you save the settings. A pasted API password is reduced to the public API key. The key is stored encrypted.
Your own prices: a price per country with weight columns (XS to XL), a row for all other countries, a fallback cost, per order or per item, in the base currency of your store.
Shipping rules: free shipping from a cart subtotal, minimum cart subtotal, minimum and maximum weight and the countries you ship to. Magento cart price rules with free shipping work as usual. Tax on shipping uses your Magento tax settings, when your store taxes shipping.
Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Delivery Methods configuration page, with sections for the widget, rates, availability and advanced options, settings per website and a debug log viewer.
Requirements
Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4. A Packeta client account with an API key. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
