Overview
VibeFox Balikobot adds a Balikobot shipping method to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. Balikobot is a Czech shipping aggregator: one API account for Česká pošta, Zásilkovna, PPL, DPD, GLS, DHL, Slovenská pošta and other carriers. The module uses one Balikobot carrier and one service type that you choose, with a fixed price per country or a live Balikobot rate, and an optional pickup point selection in the shipping step of the checkout.
It suits stores in Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary that ship through Balikobot. The module calculates rates and saves the chosen pickup point with the order. It does not create Balikobot shipments, print labels, order pickups, track parcels, show a map of pickup points or use several carriers at once.
Key features
Three pricing modes: fixed prices per country (no Balikobot account needed), live rates from the Balikobot "transportcosts" API, or live rates that fall back to fixed prices when the API fails.
Many carriers: Česká pošta, Zásilkovna (Packeta), PPL, DPD, GLS, DHL Express, UPS, Slovenská pošta, Magyar Posta and more, with the service code of your choice.
Pickup point selection: the customer chooses a pickup point near the shipping address in the shipping step of the standard Magento checkout. The choice is required and checked on the server.
Pickup point in the order: added to the shipping description of the order, so it appears in the order e-mails, the customer's order page and invoices. The admin order page shows the point with its Balikobot ID and lets you change it.
Safe currency handling: live prices in CZK or another currency are converted to your base currency with your exchange rate, or not used without it. Magento shows the price in the customer's currency.
Fast checkout: live prices are cached for 1 hour, pickup points for 12 hours and API failures for 5 minutes. API errors never break the checkout.
Shipping rules: minimum and maximum cart weight, minimum order amount, free shipping from an amount, per-order or per-item fixed prices and the countries you ship to. Magento cart price rules with free shipping work as usual.
Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Delivery Methods configuration page, with sections for the API account, prices, conditions, availability and pickup points, settings per website, an encrypted API key, a country price table and a debug log viewer.
Requirements
Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4. Live rates and pickup points need a Balikobot account with API access. Fixed prices work without one. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
