Overview
VibeFox Blue Express adds Blue Express delivery in Chile to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce as two shipping methods: Blue Express - Home delivery and Blue Express - Pickup point for pickup at a Blue Express point the customer chooses on the official Blue Express map. The price is a live rate from the Blue Express API or a fixed price per country.
It suits Chilean stores that ship with Blue Express. The module calculates rates and saves the chosen pickup point with the order. It does not create Blue Express shipments or labels, assign tracking numbers or track parcels, and it has no regional rate tables per commune. Live rates work for Chile only.
Key features
Live Blue Express rates: services Express (EX), Prioritario (PY) and SameDay (MD), with fixed prices per country as the only price source or as a fallback when the API gives no rate.
Home delivery and pickup points: two methods of one carrier, each with its own switch and name. The customer picks a Blue Express point on the official map in the shipping step.
Pickup price: after a point is chosen, the rate is recalculated with the Blue Express pickup (PUDO) price. The customer cannot go on to payment without a point.
Pickup point in the order: the point is added to the shipping description of the order, so the customer sees it in the order in their account, in order e-mails and invoices. The admin order page shows it in its own block, where you can change it.
Chilean regions out of the box: Blue Express needs the region of the address. Magento already has the 16 Chilean regions, and the module reads the region the customer chooses.
Correct weight and currency: weights are converted to kg from your store weight unit, prices in CLP are converted to your base currency with your exchange rate, and Magento shows them in the customer's currency.
Fast checkout: rates are cached for 1 hour and commune data for 12 hours. A failed API call is remembered for 5 minutes, so a slow API does not slow down the checkout.
Shipping rules and standard Magento settings: minimum and maximum weight, minimum subtotal, free shipping from a subtotal, per-order or per-item fixed prices and the countries you ship to. Magento cart price rules with free shipping work as usual. All settings are on the standard Delivery Methods configuration page, with settings per website, an encrypted API key and a debug log viewer.
Requirements
Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4. Live rates need a Blue Express e-commerce account and its API key. Fixed prices work without one. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
