Overview
VibeFox Netopia Gateway adds card payments through Netopia Payments (formerly mobilPay) to Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. The customer chooses the card payment at the payment step and clicks Place Order. Magento places the order in Pending Payment, and the customer is sent to the Netopia secure payment page, pays by card and comes back to your store. The payment request is encrypted with your Netopia certificate, and Netopia confirms the payment with an encrypted notification (IPN). Card data never touches your site. The order is invoiced only after Netopia confirms the payment, and the order e-mail is sent only then.
It suits stores in Romania and abroad that sell in RON, EUR, USD or GBP with a Netopia seller account. The module uses the certificate-based Netopia v1 card protocol. It has no capture or online refunds from Magento (both are done in the Netopia admin), no saved cards, subscriptions, installments or other payment methods, and no Netopia API v2. It is not offered for orders created in the Admin.
Key features
Netopia secure page: the order is sent encrypted to the Netopia payment page in the order currency: RON, or EUR, USD and GBP when they are enabled on your Netopia account.
Paid only when Netopia confirms: an order is invoiced only by an IPN that your private key can decrypt, that carries your account signature and answers a payment request your store made for that order.
Amount and currency check: the amount and currency confirmed by Netopia are compared with the order. Mismatches put the order On Hold without an invoice and with a note for you.
No double processing: a repeated IPN is acknowledged without changes. A cart is never invoiced twice, a payment for a cancelled order is only noted, and a second payment is reported in a note.
Pre-authorizations and reviews: payments waiting for capture or under review at Netopia stay in Pending Payment until Netopia confirms them.
Refunds recorded automatically: refunds made in the Netopia admin arrive by IPN and are recorded on the order as an offline credit memo, partial or full, never twice. A full refund closes the order.
Sandbox and live modes: each with its own certificate and private key. Private keys are never shown again and all keys are checked on save. A sandbox payment confirmed after switching to live is put on hold.
Standard Magento settings: all settings are on the standard Payment Methods configuration page, with encrypted certificates and keys, the IPN URL shown on the page, countries and minimum and maximum order totals, a Netopia payment history on the order page and an optional log without keys, card data or customer details.
Requirements
Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 to 2.4.9 (your own server or Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure; not Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service), PHP 8.1 to 8.4 with the OpenSSL, DOM and SimpleXML extensions. A Netopia seller account with the account signature, public certificate and private key of your point of sale. Order currency RON, EUR, USD or GBP. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
