VibeFox The Courier Guy for WooCommerce

Overview

VibeFox The Courier Guy adds The Courier Guy (South Africa) delivery to WooCommerce as a regular shipping method. It works with the ShipLogic platform that The Courier Guy runs on: customers get courier delivery to the door or delivery to a TCG locker they choose at checkout, with a live ShipLogic rate or a price from your own table.

It suits South African shops with a The Courier Guy business account. The plugin calculates rates and lets customers pick a locker. It does not book shipments, create waybills or labels, or update tracking automatically. Book the parcel in your The Courier Guy portal and paste the tracking reference into the order.

Key features

Two delivery types: each time you add the method to a shipping zone you choose "Courier to the door" or "TCG locker". Add it twice to offer both, each with its own title.

Live courier rates: the cheapest ShipLogic service from your sender address to the customer's address, once the address is complete.

Locker selection: in the classic and the block checkout, customers see the lockers near their city, can search another city, suburb or postal code, and must choose one. The choice is checked on the server.

Locker and tracking on the order: the locker appears on the admin order screen, the customer's order pages and the order e-mails. A tracking reference field on the order is shown to the customer.

Currency and tax: ShipLogic quotes in rand. Other store currencies use your ZAR conversion rate. With Taxable, the rate without VAT is used, so VAT is not charged twice.

Price table: prices by country and weight tier, per order or per item, plus a fallback cost, for addresses outside South Africa and whenever there is no live rate.

Resilient checkout: rates are cached for 1 hour, lockers for 6 hours, failures for 10 minutes. If ShipLogic is down, the price table is used and a locker order can still be placed.

Shipping rules and modern WooCommerce: weight limits, minimum order amount, free shipping from an amount, excluded shipping classes, zones or a list of countries, HPOS.

Requirements

WordPress 5.8 or later, WooCommerce 7.0 or later, PHP 8.0 or later. A ShipLogic API key from your The Courier Guy courier portal for live rates and lockers. The price table works without it. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
