VibeFox SmartPost for WooCommerce

Overview

VibeFox SmartPost adds delivery to SmartPost (SmartPosti, Itella) parcel lockers and pickup points in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland to WooCommerce as a regular shipping method. At checkout the customer chooses a city and then a pickup point of the shipping country. The order cannot be placed without a valid point, and the chosen point is saved in the order.

It suits shops in the Baltics and Finland that send parcels with SmartPost and know their own (contract) prices. SmartPost has no public price API, so you enter the prices in a table by country and box size. The plugin does not request SmartPost prices, create shipments, print labels, call a courier or track parcels, it does not offer courier (door-to-door) delivery, and it has no map view.

Key features

Pickup point selector: City, then Point, under the shipping method in the classic checkout and in the Cart and Checkout blocks. The list always belongs to the shipping country: a customer with a billing address in Estonia who ships to Lithuania gets Lithuanian points. The city of the shipping address is pre-selected and major cities come first.

Four countries, all point types: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland. Choose which points customers may pick: parcel lockers (APT), parcel boxes (IPB), parcel shops (PUDO) and, optionally, Posti post offices in Finland.

Daily pickup point list: pickup points come from the open SmartPost places list (no API key needed), downloaded once a day per country. The last good copy is kept for the case the list is unavailable, and a button on the settings page refreshes the lists at any time.

Safe point choice: the point is checked on the server, so a forged or outdated ID or a point of another country is refused. The point name saved in the order is taken from the list, not from the browser.

Point in the order: shown on the admin order screen, where a store manager can change it (with an order note), on the order received page, in My account and in the order e-mails (HTML and plain text).

Your own prices by box size: a table with S, M, L and XL prices for each country and a "Free from" cart total per country. The box is chosen from the product dimensions; box sizes are editable. Per order (all items in one box) or per item. Decimals as 3.50 or 3,50.

Shipping rules: minimum cart total, minimum and maximum weight (default 25 kg), excluded shipping classes, tax status. Works with WooCommerce shipping zones (a zone can have its own title) or without them, using a list of countries.

Modern WooCommerce: classic checkout, Cart and Checkout blocks, HPOS. Logs in WooCommerce without customer data. English and Estonian included.

Requirements

WordPress 5.8 or later, WooCommerce 7.0 or later, PHP 8.0 or later with the SimpleXML extension. No SmartPost API account or key is needed. You enter your own prices. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
