VibeFox Bob Go for WooCommerce

Overview

VibeFox Bob Go adds Bob Go live shipping rates to the WooCommerce checkout. Bob Go is a South African shipping aggregator: you set up carriers, services and prices in your Bob Go account, and each service it returns, for example "The Courier Guy - Economy", is shown as a separate shipping option. Fixed prices per country serve as the fallback.

It suits South African shops that already use Bob Go. The plugin shows rates at checkout. It does not create shipments, waybills or labels, track parcels, sync orders to Bob Go, send e-mail notifications, offer pickup point or locker selection, or ship outside South Africa.

Key features

Live Bob Go rates: all services Bob Go returns from its "Rates at checkout" API, each as its own shipping option with the service name from Bob Go.

No API keys: Bob Go identifies your store by its domain. The domain can be changed for a store in a subfolder.

Three modes: live rates only, fixed prices only, or live rates with fixed prices when Bob Go returns no rates. Fixed prices per country plus a flat price, per order or per item.

Currency handling: Bob Go quotes in rand (ZAR). Stores in another currency set a ZAR conversion rate; rates are converted and product prices are sent to Bob Go in ZAR.

Delivery dates: optional estimated delivery dates in the rate name. The Bob Go service and the estimate are saved with the order.

Connection status: the settings page shows the last response from Bob Go.

Fast checkout: rates are cached for 1 hour per cart and address, failed requests for 5 minutes. A failed request never breaks the checkout.

Shipping rules: minimum and maximum weight, minimum order amount, excluded shipping classes, free shipping from an order amount, tax status, shipping zones with their own title or a country list. Classic checkout, Cart and Checkout blocks, HPOS.

Requirements

WordPress 5.8 or later, WooCommerce 5.0 or later, PHP 8.0 or later. Live rates need a Bob Go account with your store installed as a sales channel and "Rates at checkout" enabled. Fixed prices work without one. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
