VibeFox Pin Payments for WooCommerce

Overview

WC Pin Payments Gateway adds card payments through Pin Payments to WooCommerce. The customer enters Visa, Mastercard or American Express card details in a card form on your checkout. Pin.js, the Pin Payments browser library, turns them into a single-use card token, and only this token reaches your server. The plugin then charges the order total and completes the order from the Pin Payments answer.

It suits stores with a Pin Payments merchant account (businesses in Australia and New Zealand) that want an on-site card form. Customers can pay from anywhere. The plugin takes immediate one-time card payments only. It has no 3-D Secure, saved cards, subscriptions, separate authorize and capture, Apple Pay, Google Pay or webhooks.

Key features

Card form with Pin.js tokenization: card inputs are never posted to your server, only the single-use Pin card token is.

Paid only when Pin Payments confirms: the order is marked paid only after Pin Payments reports a successful charge for exactly the order amount and currency. Any difference puts the order on hold with a note.

One charge per order: parallel or repeated submits cannot charge an order twice, and an order that is already charged is never charged again.

Safe on timeouts: if Pin Payments does not answer, the order is not marked failed. A note tells you to check the Pin Payments dashboard, because the charge may still exist.

Clear decline messages: customers see plain messages for declined cards, insufficient funds, expired cards or a wrong CVC. Every decline is noted on the order.

Refunds: full and partial refunds from the WooCommerce order screen, always sent to the mode (test or live) the order was paid in.

14 currencies: AUD, USD, NZD, SGD, EUR, GBP, CAD, HKD, JPY, MYR, THB, PHP, ZAR and IDR. In other currencies the method is hidden.

Modern WooCommerce: classic checkout, Checkout block, the Pay for order page, HPOS. Test mode with separate keys. Errors are always logged, without keys, card data or customer data.

Requirements

WordPress 6.2 or later, WooCommerce 7.1 or later, PHP 8.0 or later, HTTPS on the checkout. A Pin Payments merchant account with publishable and secret API keys. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
