VibeFox Paytrail for WooCommerce

Overview

VibeFox Paytrail Gateway adds payments through the Paytrail payment page to WooCommerce. After placing the order, the customer is sent to Paytrail, chooses one of the methods enabled for your Paytrail account (Finnish online banks, cards, MobilePay, Apple Pay and Google Pay, invoice and instalment methods) and comes back to your store. Card and bank data never touch your site.

It suits Finnish stores that sell in euros and want all their Paytrail methods behind one payment method. The method is chosen on the Paytrail page, not in your checkout. The plugin accepts EUR only. It has no saved cards, no subscriptions, no shop-in-shop, no manual invoice activation and no settlement reports, and refunds made in the Paytrail Merchant Panel are not synchronized back to WooCommerce.

Key features

Paytrail payment page: one payment method Paytrail on the classic checkout, the Checkout block and the Pay for order page. The page language follows the store locale (Finnish, Swedish or English).

Order rows sent to Paytrail: products, shipping and fees with VAT to one decimal (for example 25.5 %). The rows always add up to the payment amount; rounding differences are corrected.

Paid only when Paytrail confirms: the customer's return and the server-to-server callback are accepted only with a valid signature and only for the payment attempt created for that order. The paid amount must match the order total, otherwise the order is put on hold.

Nothing to set up in Paytrail: the callback URL is sent with every payment.

No double processing: every status is applied once. Paid, refunded or cancelled orders are never reopened, a payment after cancellation puts the order on hold, and a second paid attempt is reported as a duplicate to refund.

Delayed payments: invoice and other pending payments put the order on hold until Paytrail confirms them.

Refunds: full and partial refunds from the WooCommerce order screen. When a payment method does not support direct refunds, an e-mail refund is started automatically. Paytrail's later confirmation or failure is added to the order notes.

Test mode and modern WooCommerce: test mode with Paytrail's public test account; older payments keep the credentials of their own mode. HPOS compatible, log without personal data or keys, Finnish translation included.

Requirements

WordPress 6.0 or later, WooCommerce 7.0 or later, PHP 8.0 or later. A Paytrail merchant account (merchant ID and secret key) and EUR as the store currency. The site should be reachable from the internet for callbacks. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
