VibeFox Paysera for WooCommerce — Help

Requirements

WordPress: 6.0 or later.

WooCommerce: 7.0 or later, installed and active. The plugin refuses to activate without it.

PHP: 8.0 or later.

Paysera project: you need the project ID and the project password (sign key) of your Paysera project. The payment methods the customer sees are the ones enabled in this project. Nothing has to be configured in Paysera for the callback: its URL is sent with every payment request.

Reachable site: orders are paid by the Paysera callback, so your site must be reachable from the internet, not behind a login, maintenance mode or firewall.

VibeFox license key: bought on vibefox.net. One key works on one domain.

Installation

1. In WordPress go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, choose the plugin ZIP file and click Install Now. You can also upload the wcp_paysera_payment folder to /wp-content/plugins/ by FTP.

2. Click Activate.

3. Open the settings: WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Paysera > Manage, or click Settings under the plugin name on the Plugins page.

4. Enter your VibeFox license key in the license block at the top of the page and click Activate.

5. Enter the Project ID and the Project password from your Paysera account (see Configuration).

6. Optional: enable Allow test payments in the Paysera project and Test payments in the plugin to try the flow without charging money. Turn it off before selling.

7. Turn on Enable/Disable and save.

Configuration

All settings are on one page: WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Paysera. Above the fields the page shows Paysera is hidden at checkout until the project ID and the project password are entered. while one of them is missing, and a notice that customers are not charged while test payments or the sandbox are on. In the list of payment methods, Paysera is marked as needing setup until the project is configured, and shows a test mode badge with test payments or the sandbox on.

General

Enable/Disable: Enable Paysera Payment turns the payment method on or off. Default: off.

Title: the payment method name shown at checkout. Default: Paysera.

Description: the text shown under the payment method at checkout. Default: Pay securely via Paysera.

Paysera project

Find the project ID and the project password in your Paysera account under Projects and activities, your project, General project settings. The section shows the callback URL, which looks like https://your-site/wc-api/wc_psr_payment/. It is sent with every payment automatically; nothing has to be configured in Paysera.

Project ID: the numeric ID of your Paysera project.

Project password: the project password (sign key). It signs payment requests and verifies Paysera callbacks.

Testing

Test payments: Send payments in test mode (no money is charged). Paysera returns a successful test payment without charging the customer. Enable Allow test payments in the Paysera project settings first. While this option is on, test payments mark orders as paid; when it is off, a test payment never pays an order. Default: off.

Environment: where the customer is sent. Keep Production for a normal Paysera project, also for test payments. Default: Production.

Production (bank.paysera.com): the normal Paysera payment window.
Sandbox (sandbox.paysera.com, separate sandbox account): works only with a project created in the Paysera sandbox environment.

Advanced

Debug log: Log payment events. Errors are always logged. Logs are in WooCommerce > Status > Logs, source wcp_paysera_payment. Passwords and customer data are never written. Default: off.

Delete data: Delete the plugin settings and logs when the plugin is deleted. Deactivation never deletes anything. Order data is always kept. Default: off.

Checkout

The customer chooses the payment method (by default Paysera) and places the order. With test payments on, the checkout shows TEST MODE — no money will be charged. The plugin builds a signed payment request with the order total in the minor unit of the order currency, the customer's name, e-mail and billing address, and a language chosen from your site language (Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian, Russian, German, Polish, otherwise English). The customer is sent to the Paysera payment window and chooses a bank, card or other method there.

After paying, the customer returns to the order received page. The order is marked paid only when the signed Paysera callback arrives; the return itself never pays an order.

If the customer cancels in the Paysera window, the order is cancelled the standard WooCommerce way, and the customer can order again. If the payment cannot be started, the customer sees Paysera payments are temporarily unavailable. Please choose another payment method. The reason is written to the log.

The payment method works on the classic checkout, on the Checkout block and on the Pay for order page. It is compatible with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).

The plugin has no refunds from WooCommerce, no choice of bank or payment method on the checkout page, no subscriptions, no saved cards and no Paysera delivery or courier services.

Orders

Order statuses

Pending payment: the customer was sent to Paysera and the callback has not arrived yet.

Processing: Paysera confirmed the payment (status 1). Orders with only virtual downloadable products become Completed, the WooCommerce default. The order note shows the Paysera request and the payment method. The transaction ID is the Paysera request ID.

On hold: Paysera accepted the payment order but has not executed it yet (status 2), and the order is completed when Paysera confirms the payment; or the paid amount or currency differs from the order (note amount/currency mismatch); or a TEST payment was received while test payments are off, so no money was charged. The order note explains it.

Cancelled: the customer cancelled in the Paysera window, or the order was cancelled by you or by the stock hold timeout. A payment confirmed later for a cancelled order does not change its status: a note asks you to restore the order (set it to Processing) or refund the payment in Paysera.

Other Paysera statuses (payment not executed, additional information) only add a note. If another successful payment arrives for an order that is already paid, the order is not changed, and a note asks you to refund the duplicate in your Paysera account.

Refunds

Refunds from WooCommerce are not supported: the Paysera payment window protocol has no refund API. Make refunds in your Paysera account. When Paysera reports a refund, a note with the refunded amount is added to the order, and the order status is not changed. Record the refund in WooCommerce manually if needed.

License key

The plugin works with a VibeFox license key from vibefox.net. The license block is at the top of WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Paysera. Paste the key into License key and click Activate. The block shows the status, for example the date the license is active until and your domain. Use Check now to check the status again, Change key to enter another key and Remove key to remove it from this site. The link Manage licenses and domains in your account opens your vibefox.net account.

One key works on one domain. Removing the key from a site does not free its domain slot. Free the slot in your vibefox.net account.

Without an active key, Paysera is not shown to customers at checkout. If a payment is started anyway, the customer sees This payment method is not available. Please choose another one. Logged-in store managers still see the payment method, marked (unlicensed — visible to admins only), so you can set up and test the plugin before you buy a key. A reminder appears on the Plugins page and on WooCommerce pages. Existing orders are not affected: payments already started are still confirmed.

When a license expires, the plugin keeps working, but updates and support need a renewal. The status is checked again automatically in the background.

Troubleshooting

Paysera does not appear at checkout: check that the license is active, Enable/Disable is on and both Project ID and Project password are entered. The settings page shows a warning while they are missing.

The payment went through, but the order stays Pending payment: the order is paid by the Paysera callback, not by the customer's return. Check that your site is reachable from the internet at the callback URL shown in the settings (not behind a login, maintenance mode or firewall), and look at WooCommerce > Status > Logs, source wcp_paysera_payment.

Callback answers Invalid signature: the Project password does not match the project, or the callback is not from Paysera. Copy the project password again.

Callback answers Project ID mismatch: the Project ID in the settings differs from the project that made the payment.

Callback answers Gateway not configured or Busy: the project ID or password is empty, or another callback for the same order is still running. Paysera retries the callback.

Paysera rejects the payment window or says the project does not exist: check Environment. A normal Paysera project works only with Production; Sandbox needs a project created in the Paysera sandbox environment.

The test payment does not pay the order: a TEST payment pays an order only while Test payments is on. Otherwise the order is put on hold with a note that no money was charged. Also enable Allow test payments in the Paysera project.

No icon at checkout: the plugin shows no icon by default. Developers can set one with the filter wc_psr_gateway_icon.

An order is On hold with a note about an amount/currency mismatch: Paysera confirmed a payment whose amount or currency differs from the order total, for example the order was edited after the customer started paying. Compare the payment in your Paysera account and complete or refund the order manually.

The license block shows an error: follow the message in the block. For example, if the key is already used on another domain, free a slot in your vibefox.net account and click Check now. If the site address changed, click Check now to activate the key for the new domain. If the license server cannot be reached, the plugin keeps working on the last known status.

Uninstall

Deactivating the plugin keeps all data. To remove it, deactivate and delete it on the Plugins page. The license key and license status of this plugin are always removed. The gateway settings and the logs are removed only if Delete data was on. Otherwise they stay for a later re-install. Existing orders keep their payment notes and transaction IDs.
