VibeFox Ozow for WooCommerce

Overview

VibeFox Ozow Pay Gateway adds Ozow instant EFT (Pay by Bank) to WooCommerce for payments in South African rand. After placing the order, the customer is sent to the hosted Ozow payment page, chooses a South African bank, approves the payment in the banking app and comes back to your store. Ozow also notifies the store directly, so the order is updated even if the customer closes the browser.

It suits South African stores that want bank payments without card fees or a card form. The plugin takes one-time payments in ZAR only. It has no refunds from WooCommerce (refund in the Ozow merchant dashboard), no subscriptions, no saved bank accounts and no payment links sent from the admin.

Key features

Hosted Ozow page: the customer pays on the Ozow page. The payment request is signed with your Private Key (Ozow HashCheck, SHA-512).

Paid only when Ozow confirms: an order is marked paid only from an Ozow answer whose SHA-512 hash verifies with your Private Key, whose Site Code is yours and which carries the key of that order.

Optional API check: with an API Key, every successful payment is also confirmed with the Ozow GetTransaction API before the order is marked paid.

Amount and currency check: the paid amount in cents and the currency are compared with the order. A mismatch puts the order on hold with a note.

No double processing: the notification and the customer return are processed the same way under a per-order lock, so a lost notification does not leave a paid order unpaid, and repeats never duplicate notes, stock reduction or e-mails. A cancelled or refunded order is never re-opened.

Test mode: test payments with the same Site Code and keys; a test payment never pays an order while the gateway is live. Warnings in the admin, at checkout and in the order notes.

Failed payments: a cancelled or failed payment marks the order Failed, and the customer goes back to Pay for order with a message to try again.

Modern WooCommerce: classic checkout, Checkout block, the Pay for order page, HPOS. Optional log without keys, hashes or customer data.

Requirements

WordPress 6.2 or later, WooCommerce 8.0 or later, PHP 8.0 or later. Store currency South African rand (ZAR). An Ozow merchant account with the Site Code and Private Key, and optionally the API Key. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
