Overview

VibeFox OpenPay Gateway adds credit and debit card payments with OpenPay (BBVA) to WooCommerce, for OpenPay accounts from Mexico, Colombia and Peru. The customer types the card into a form on your checkout page. The card is tokenized in the browser by the openpay.js library of OpenPay, so the card number and CVV never reach your server. Every payment goes through 3D Secure on the page of the customer's bank.

It suits stores with an OpenPay account that want a card form on their own checkout. The plugin takes cards only, captured immediately. It has no saved cards, subscriptions, months without interest or installments, card points, cash, SPEI, PSE or CoDi payments, and no separate authorize and capture. Refunds of OpenPay Colombia payments are made in the OpenPay dashboard.

Key features

Card form with tokenization: openpay.js and the OpenPay antifraud device check run in the browser. Only a one-time token and the device session ID are sent with the order.

3D Secure on every payment: the customer confirms the payment with the bank and comes back to your store.

Paid only when OpenPay confirms: the charge is read back from the OpenPay API with your private key, on the customer's return and on every webhook. The amount and currency must match the order exactly, otherwise the order is put on hold.

No double charges: each attempt has its own OpenPay order reference, and the previous attempt is checked before a new one, so a lost confirmation never leads to a second charge. Repeated webhooks never duplicate notes, stock reduction or e-mails.

Mexico, Colombia, Peru: MXN and USD, COP and USD, PEN and USD. The payment method is hidden when the store currency is not accepted or the keys are missing.

Sandbox and live: separate keys for each mode and a SANDBOX MODE badge at checkout. Refunds and notifications use the mode and country the order was paid in.

Refunds: full and partial refunds from the WooCommerce order screen for Mexico and Peru. Refunds and chargebacks from the OpenPay dashboard are added to the order notes.

Modern WooCommerce: classic checkout, Checkout block, the Pay for order page, HPOS. Clear messages for declined cards. Spanish translations for Mexico, Colombia and Peru.
