VibeFox Moneris for WooCommerce

Overview

VibeFox Moneris Gateway adds credit card payments through the Moneris Gateway (eSELECTplus direct API, Canada) to WooCommerce. The customer enters the card on your checkout page, your server sends it to Moneris and gets the result at once, without a redirect. You can charge immediately or only reserve the funds and capture them later.

It suits Canadian stores with a Moneris account (and legacy Moneris USA accounts) that want a card form on their own checkout. Because card data passes through your server, you need HTTPS and PCI DSS SAQ D compliance. The plugin has no saved cards or Moneris Vault, no subscriptions, no Apple Pay, Google Pay or Interac Online, no Moneris Checkout or Hosted Tokenization, no 3-D Secure, AVS or Kount and no multi-currency pricing.

Key features

Card form on your checkout: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and JCB, as enabled on your Moneris account, on the classic checkout, the Checkout block and the Pay for order page.

Purchase or Pre-Authorization: charge at once, or reserve the funds and capture them by setting the order to Processing or Completed, or with an order action.

Capture and void: a failed capture puts the order back On hold without the order e-mail. Cancelling a pre-authorized order releases the reserved funds.

Paid only when Moneris approves: an order is marked paid only on an approved Moneris answer whose processed amount equals the order total. A different amount puts the order on hold for review.

Safe on timeouts: if Moneris does not answer, the plugin asks Moneris with a Status Check. If the result is still unknown, the order goes On hold with the Moneris order ID, and the customer is not asked to pay again. Two simultaneous attempts for one order are refused.

Test and live credentials: separate Store ID and API Token for each mode. Refunds, captures and voids always go to the environment and account the payment was made in.

Refunds: full and partial refunds from the WooCommerce order screen.

Modern WooCommerce: classic checkout, Checkout block, HPOS. Log with card number, CVV, expiry and API token masked. French (Canada) translation included.

Requirements

WordPress 6.0 or later, WooCommerce 8.0 or later, PHP 8.0 or later. A Moneris Gateway account with a Store ID and API Token, store currency CAD (or USD for a Moneris USA account), HTTPS and PCI DSS SAQ D compliance for live payments. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
