VibeFox MercadoPago for WooCommerce

Overview

VibeFox MercadoPago Gateway adds card payments with the MercadoPago Checkout API to WooCommerce for Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay. The customer types the card into MercadoPago secure fields on your checkout page. MercadoPago turns the card into a one-time token, and your store creates the payment on the server. Card data never touches your site.

It suits Latin American stores that want a card form with installments on their own checkout page. The plugin takes credit and debit cards only. It has no Checkout Pro redirect, MercadoPago wallet, cash, Pix, PSE or Yape payments, no saved cards or subscriptions, no separate authorize and capture, no 3-D Secure challenge and no currency conversion.

Key features

Secure card fields: card number, expiry and security code are typed into MercadoPago fields on the classic checkout, the Checkout block and the Pay for order page. Card issuer and cardholder document (DNI, CPF, RUT, CC and others) where the country needs them.

Installments: cuotas or parcelas with the options and interest returned by MercadoPago. The maximum you set is also enforced on the server.

Paid only when MercadoPago confirms: the amount and currency of every approved payment are compared with the order. A difference puts the order on hold with a note.

Payment notifications: payments under review are put on hold and completed automatically. Each notification is re-read from the MercadoPago API and bound to the order. Optional signature check with your webhook secret.

No double charges: a paid order is never charged again, the same card token always uses the same idempotency key, and after a timeout the next attempt first looks the payment up.

Test and production credentials: separate keys, prefix check and account country check when you save. Refunds always use the credentials the payment was made with.

Refunds: full and partial refunds from the WooCommerce order screen.

Modern WooCommerce: classic checkout, Checkout block, HPOS. Log without tokens, card data or payer details. Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese translations.

Requirements

WordPress 6.0 or later, WooCommerce 8.0 or later, PHP 8.0 or later. A MercadoPago application with test and production credentials (Public Key and Access Token). The store currency must be the currency of your MercadoPago account country. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
