VibeFox eWAY for WooCommerce

Overview

eWAY Payment Gateway for WooCommerce adds card payments through the eWAY Rapid API Responsive Shared Page. After placing the order, the customer is sent to the secure eWAY payment page, pays by card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, Diners Club, as enabled on your eWAY account) and comes back to your store. Card data never touches your site.

It suits stores in Australia, New Zealand and Asia that charge in AUD, NZD, SGD, HKD or MYR and have an eWAY merchant account with Rapid API access. The plugin takes one-time card payments only, captured immediately. It has no card fields on your site, no saved cards or subscriptions, no separate authorise and capture, and refunds made in MyeWAY are not synced back to WooCommerce.

Key features

Responsive Shared Page: the hosted eWAY payment page for the order total in the order currency. Amounts are sent in the currency's minor units.

Paid only when eWAY confirms: when the customer returns, the plugin asks eWAY server-to-server for the result of the payment page this order created and checks the approved amount and currency. A mismatch, such as an approval for a partial amount, puts the order on hold for review.

Lost returns are not lost: if the customer closes the browser after paying, the payment is picked up when the order received page is opened, and the WooCommerce automatic cancellation of unpaid orders asks eWAY first.

Safe returns: repeated or simultaneous returns never pay an order twice, send e-mails twice or reduce stock twice. A replayed cancel link never cancels a paid order, and a second approved payment is flagged for refund.

Refunds: full and partial refunds from the WooCommerce order screen, always in the environment (sandbox or live) the payment was taken in.

Sandbox and live: separate API credentials for each mode, with a clear mode badge on the settings page.

Clear messages: declined payments show the reason, for example D4451 Insufficient funds. Order status after payment: Processing or Completed.

Modern WooCommerce: classic checkout, Checkout block, the Pay for order page, HPOS. Log without card data, API keys or customer details.

Requirements

WordPress 6.0 or later, WooCommerce 8.0 or later, PHP 8.0 or later. An eWAY merchant account with Rapid API key and password (and an eWAY sandbox account for testing). Store currency AUD, NZD, SGD, HKD or MYR. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
