Overview

VibeFox ECPay Payment Gateway adds ECPay (綠界), the Taiwanese payment service, to WooCommerce. After placing the order, the customer is sent to the ECPay hosted payment page and pays by credit card, ATM virtual account, convenience store payment code or convenience store barcode. Card data never touches your site.

It suits stores in Taiwan that sell in New Taiwan Dollars (TWD). The plugin takes one-time payments only. It has no refunds from WooCommerce (refunds are made in the ECPay back-office), no saved cards, subscriptions or periodic payments, installments, Apple Pay, TWQR, WeChat Pay, BNPL, WebATM, e-invoices or logistics.

Key features

Four ECPay methods: Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard, JCB), ATM virtual account, CVS code (7-ELEVEN, FamilyMart, Hi-Life, OK mart) and Barcode. With several methods enabled, the customer chooses at checkout.

Paid only when ECPay confirms: an order is marked paid only after the ECPay server notification arrives with a valid CheckMacValue signature, for a trade number this store issued, and the paid amount matches the order. The customer's return alone never marks an order paid.

Payment instructions for offline methods: the ATM account, CVS code or barcodes and the payment deadline appear on the thank-you page, in My account and in the Order on hold e-mail.

Safe retries: every visit of the payment page gets a new ECPay trade number, so Pay for order and retries after a failed payment work. A second payment for a paid order is noted for refund.

No surprises: repeated notifications are ignored, simulated payments from the ECPay back-office never mark orders paid, and a paid, cancelled or refunded order is never reopened by an old notification.

Test without an account: test mode uses the public ECPay sandbox merchant, so you can test before you have ECPay keys.

Modern WooCommerce: classic checkout, Checkout block, the Pay for order page, HPOS. ECPay page in English, Korean, Japanese or Chinese by site language. Optional log without keys or customer data. Traditional Chinese translation included.
