VibeFox Datatrans for WooCommerce

Overview

VibeFox Datatrans Gateway adds payments through Datatrans, the Swiss payment service provider, to WooCommerce. After placing the order, the customer is sent to the Datatrans payment page, pays with a card, TWINT, PostFinance or any other method enabled in your Datatrans account, and comes back to your store. Card data never touches your site.

It suits stores with a Datatrans merchant account that want a hosted payment page and refunds from WooCommerce. The plugin takes one-time payments only. It has no saved cards or aliases, subscriptions, Lightbox or Secure Fields integration on your site, choice of payment methods in the settings or partial capture of an authorization.

Key features

Datatrans payment page: a transaction is created for the order total in the order currency, with amounts in the right minor unit, including zero-decimal currencies such as JPY and KRW and three-decimal currencies such as KWD and BHD.

Paid only when Datatrans confirms: an order is marked paid after a webhook with a valid signature or after a server-side check of the transaction with Datatrans. The return of the customer alone never marks an order paid.

Amount and currency check: the amount and currency reported by Datatrans are compared with the order, and the transaction must belong to the order. A mismatch puts the order on hold with a note.

No double processing: repeated or parallel webhooks never complete an order twice. A second successful payment for a paid order is flagged in the order notes as a possible double charge.

Sandbox and production: separate credentials for each environment. Refunds and captures always go to the environment the payment was made in.

Refunds: full and partial refunds from the WooCommerce order screen, protected against being credited twice when retried.

Authorize now, capture later: optional. The order waits On hold until you capture or cancel the payment with an order action.

Modern WooCommerce: order status of your choice after payment, classic checkout, Checkout block, the Pay for order page, HPOS. Optional log without keys or customer data. German translation included.

Requirements

WordPress 6.0 or later, WooCommerce 7.0 or later, PHP 8.0 or later. A Datatrans merchant account with a merchant ID, a server-to-server API password and, recommended, an HMAC sign key. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
