VibeFox RSI Revert MT5

VibeFox RSI Revert is a real-time RSI oscillator for MetaTrader 5 built for mean-reversion trading. It plots the classic Relative Strength Index (0-100) in its own subwindow with overbought and oversold extreme zones, watches for the moment the oscillator leaves an extreme and turns back toward the middle, and marks that reversal as an entry right on the price chart. Every control is gathered into one modern interactive panel, so instead of eyeballing RSI turns you see each mean-reversion signal the moment it forms.

VibeFox RSI Revert — the RSI mean-reversion oscillator with overbought/oversold zones and entry points

How the indicator works

The indicator computes a standard RSI on the close price and draws it as a smooth line bounded between 0 and 100. Three horizontal levels frame the oscillator: an Overbought line near the top (the upper extreme), an Oversold line near the bottom (the lower extreme), and a neutral mid line at the center (the average of the two, e.g. 50). When RSI pushes into one of the extreme zones the market is stretched; when it turns back out of that zone toward the mid line, the stretch is releasing — that is the mean reversion the indicator trades.

The RSI period controls how reactive the oscillator is — a shorter period reacts faster and gives more signals, a longer one is smoother and more selective. The OB and OS levels set how far into the extreme the oscillator must travel before a reversal counts. The Bars setting limits how much history is scanned for entries — set it to 0 to scan all available bars, or use a smaller value for faster redraws on heavy charts.

The RSI line and its level lines live in the indicator’s own subwindow, together with the control panel, while the entry markers are drawn on the price chart above.

The mean-reversion (Revert) logic

The core idea is simple: an oscillator that has run to an extreme tends to snap back toward its mean. VibeFox RSI Revert detects exactly that turn on closed bars.

A BUY revert fires when RSI was at or below the Oversold level and then a bar closes back above Oversold — the oscillator is leaving the lower extreme upward, back toward the middle, so the expected move is up. A SELL revert fires when RSI was at or above the Overbought level and then a bar closes back below Overbought — the oscillator is leaving the upper extreme downward, so the expected move is down. Signals are evaluated only on closed bars, so a marker never repaints on the still-forming bar.

Each detected reversal places a clear entry marker on the price chart at the signal bar, colored by direction, so you read the side of the trade at a glance.

Entry points

The main value of VibeFox RSI Revert is its automatic entries. The Revert toggle enables the mean-reversion signals; turn it off to study the raw oscillator without markers. When a valid reversal completes, the indicator drops a marker at the entry bar right on the price chart.

Buy and sell markers are colored separately with the Buy and Sell color settings, so direction is read instantly. The Marker selector switches the glyph between a plain cross (+), filled triangles, or arrows with a tail, while the Size control scales the marker in pixels (6 to 40) to fit any chart density.

Full visual control

The RSI line color is set with Line and its thickness with Width from 1 to 5 pixels. The Overbought and Oversold level lines have their own colors (OB and OS color pickers), and the mid line is drawn in a neutral gray. The RSI line, both level lines and both entry markers each support a transparency setting (0-100%) in the color picker popup, so you can blend them softly into the chart. This makes it easy to build a clean, readable oscillator that matches your chart theme.

Interactive on-chart panel

The whole interface is a smooth canvas-based panel built for fast mouse control. The RSI parameters are gathered into tidy rows, and the entry block is set apart with its own gold ENTRY heading, so signal settings do not get mixed up with line settings. The panel header holds the control icons.

Power — turns the drawing of entry markers on and off without removing the indicator from the chart.

Settings (gear) — opens and closes the settings section.

Updown (arrows) — moves the panel between its subwindow and the main chart.

Close (cross) — closes the indicator.

Resizable — drag the bottom-right corner to scale the panel.

Collapsible — a double click on the header collapses the panel into a compact strip.

Mouse wheel — hover over any numeric field and scroll the wheel to change the value without opening the keyboard.

Settings and personalization

The Settings button opens a section where the panel is fitted to your workspace: a light, dark or automatic Theme, an adjustable panel width, header size, row height and font size. Extra touches let you hide the bottom bar via Hide Footer, shrink the header when collapsed with Mini Header, and automatically collapse the panel on a click outside it. Almost every parameter changes live right on the panel — the input fields on the Inputs tab only set the starting values. You can also run several independent copies on one chart by giving each a unique Instance, to compare different periods or levels side by side.

Entry notifications

You do not need to sit and guard the chart waiting for a reversal. Each entry can be sent through several notification channels that are enabled independently right on the panel.

Alert — a pop-up message inside the terminal.

Push — a mobile notification to the MetaTrader app on your phone.

Email — a letter sent through the terminal’s mail settings.

Telegram — the alert text together with a chart screenshot, sent straight to your Telegram chat.

Enable only the channels you need, and you will be notified the moment a new RSI revert entry appears on the symbol and timeframe you are working with.

Visual history (HTML report)

Enable the Html channel, and every entry signal is saved to an HTML report together with a screenshot of the chart at the moment it fired. The report is stored in the terminal’s Files folder, in the VibeFox_RSI_Revert directory (MQL5/Files/VibeFox_RSI_Revert/result.html), and opens in any browser — you get a visual log of all the reversals the indicator found. A one-click trash button clears the report and its screenshots whenever you want to start over.

Telegram Alerts

Signals can also be delivered straight to your Telegram chat — the alert text together with a screenshot of the chart at the moment of detection. Turn on the Telegram channel and enter your bot token and chat id in the inputs.

Delivery rides on the HTML report: each new signal is written into the report, and the report — opened in a browser — forwards it to your Telegram chat on its own. For this reason, enabling Telegram automatically keeps the Html report on, and the two channels work together.

Built-in multilingual help

A full help page is built into the panel, available in multiple languages, so every control is explained right where you use it.
