VibeFox MA MT5 — Help

VibeFox MA — Moving Average with entry signals and interactive panel

VibeFox MA is a full-featured Moving Average indicator for MetaTrader 5. It draws a smooth MA line directly on the price chart, marks every entry signal with a coloured arrow at the exact bar where the condition forms, and puts complete control into a single modern canvas-based panel. Four calculation methods, seven price sources, two independent entry types and a live-tunable visual engine make it equally at home on a one-minute scalping chart or a weekly swing view.

What the MA does and how it is calculated

The indicator computes one Moving Average line over a configurable lookback window. You choose the Method — Simple (SMA), Exponential (EMA), Smoothed (SMMA) or Linear Weighted (LWMA) — and the Applied Price: Close, Open, High, Low, Median, Typical or Weighted. The Period sets how many bars the average spans, and Shift moves the line forward or backward along the time axis without changing the calculation. Bars to Analyze limits how far back the indicator draws and scans for signals, which keeps the chart clean and calculation fast.

The resulting line acts as a dynamic support and resistance level, a trend filter, and — through the two entry detectors described below — a signal engine. Because all parameters are live-editable on the panel, you can switch from a 14-bar EMA on Close to a 50-bar SMA on Typical in seconds without reopening the Inputs dialog.

Entry points

VibeFox MA provides two independent entry types, each with its own toggle on the panel. Either or both can be active at the same time. When a signal fires, a coloured arrow is placed directly on the price chart at the corresponding bar — a BUY arrow below the candle for long signals, a SELL arrow above it for short signals.

Entry — Price Cross (Px Cross)

The primary entry fires whenever the price crosses the MA line. A candle that closes above the line after approaching from below generates a BUY marker; a candle that closes below the line after coming from above generates a SELL marker. This is the classic MA crossover signal — clean, fast, and effective in trending conditions. It is enabled by default.

Slope — MA slope reversal

The second entry fires whenever the slope of the MA line itself reverses direction. When the line was falling and begins to rise, a BUY marker appears; when it was rising and begins to fall, a SELL marker appears. This type reacts earlier than a price cross in strong trends and is useful as a standalone early-warning signal or as a confirmation filter alongside Px Cross.

Both signal types share the same visual controls: arrow size (1 to 5) and separate colours with individual transparency for Buy Marker and Sell Marker, so the direction reads at a glance no matter how dense the chart is.

Full visual control

The MA line is styled through dedicated controls: MA Line Color for the line's hue, MA Line Transparency (0 = solid, 100 = invisible) to blend the line into the background or make it stand out sharply, and MA Line Width in pixels for thickness. Every visual change takes effect immediately on the chart without reloading the indicator.

Interactive on-chart panel

All settings live in a smooth canvas panel that floats on the chart. Parameters are organised in neat three-column rows, and the entry-point controls are highlighted under a dedicated golden ENTRY header so signal settings never get mixed up with line styling. The panel title bar carries the control icons.

Power — turns the MA line and all entry signals on and off without removing the indicator from the chart. The icon dims when the indicator is stopped.

Settings (gear icon) — opens and closes the Settings section where panel appearance and notification channels are configured.

Updown (arrows) — moves the panel between the separate subwindow and the main price chart, so you can position it wherever it interferes least with your analysis.

Close (cross) — removes the indicator from the chart.

Resizable — drag the bottom-right corner of the panel to scale it to any width or height that suits your screen layout.

Collapsible — double-click the title bar to collapse the panel into a compact header strip. Double-click again to expand it.

Mouse wheel — hover over any numeric field on the panel and scroll the mouse wheel to increment or decrement the value without touching the keyboard.

Settings and personalisation

The Settings button opens a section where the panel is tuned to your workspace. Choose between a dark, light or automatic Theme that adapts to the chart background. Adjust panel width, header size, row height and font size to match your screen density. Additional options include Hide Footer to remove the bottom status bar, Mini Header to keep a slim title strip when the panel is collapsed, and Close on click outside to automatically collapse the panel whenever you click elsewhere on the chart. Nearly all of these take effect live as you change them. You can run several independent copies of the indicator on the same chart simultaneously — assign each a unique Instance number to keep their panels and signals separate. Panel Start Window controls whether the panel opens in the subwindow or on the main chart at startup.

Entry notifications

You do not need to watch the chart to catch a signal. Each entry type can push notifications through several independent channels that are toggled directly in the panel's Settings section.

Alert — a pop-up message inside the MetaTrader terminal the moment a new signal fires.

Push — a mobile push notification delivered to the MetaTrader app on your phone.

Email — a message sent via the email settings configured in the terminal.

Telegram — the alert text together with a chart screenshot, sent straight to your Telegram chat.

Enable only the channels you need. Every notification identifies the symbol, timeframe, signal direction (BUY/SELL) and signal type (Px Cross or Slope), so you always know exactly what triggered at a glance.

Visual history — Html report

Enable the Html channel and every entry signal is saved to an HTML report together with a chart screenshot captured at the moment of the signal. The report is stored in the terminal's Files folder under VibeFox_MA/result.html and opens in any browser — giving you a visual log of every signal the indicator has found. A small trash icon in the panel clears the report and its screenshots folder in one click whenever you want to start fresh.

Telegram Alerts

Signals can also be delivered straight to your Telegram chat — the alert text together with a screenshot of the chart at the moment of detection. Turn on the Telegram channel and enter your bot token and chat id in the inputs.

Delivery rides on the HTML report: each new signal is written into the report, and the report — opened in a browser — forwards it to your Telegram chat on its own. For this reason, enabling Telegram automatically keeps the Html report on, and the two channels work together.

Built-in multilingual help

The panel includes a full help page available in 10 languages, so every control is explained right where you use it, with no need to open external documentation.
