VibeFox NZ Post for PrestaShop

Overview

VibeFox NZ Post adds an NZ Post carrier to PrestaShop for shops that send parcels from New Zealand. Customers choose NZ Post at the shipping step of checkout and pay a live NZ Post rate for their address and parcel, or your fixed price per country and weight.

It suits New Zealand shops that ship within the country (CourierPost and ParcelPost services) and abroad. The module calculates shipping rates at checkout. It does not create shipping labels, book pickups, track parcels or let customers choose a pick-up point, PO Box or parcel locker.

Key features

Live NZ Post rates: domestic and international prices from the NZ Post ShippingOptions API 2.0. The cheapest service NZ Post returns is used, or only the service codes you list. Surcharges and mandatory add-ons such as rural delivery are included.

Contract rates: with your NZ Post business account number, international requests return your account rates.

Fixed prices as the fallback: a price per country with optional weight columns (up to 1, 2, 3, 5 kg and over 5 kg), per order or per item, plus a fallback cost. Used when live rates are not set up or NZ Post gives no rate.

NZD and GST handling: NZ Post prices in NZD are converted to your shop currency with your rate. Domestic prices can be taken including or excluding 15% GST, so tax is not charged twice with the carrier tax rule.

Correct parcel size: weights and dimensions are converted from your shop units to kg and cm. Default weight and parcel size are used for products without them.

Fast checkout: rates are cached for 1 hour and failed requests for 10 minutes. The access token is cached and renewed automatically. API errors never reach the customer.

Shipping rules: minimum and maximum cart weight, minimum order amount, free shipping from an order amount, carrier tax rule, and a country list for use without shipping zones.

Standard PrestaShop carrier: created on install and managed in Shipping > Carriers. The priced NZ Post service is shown on the admin order page. The debug log can be viewed and cleared on the module page.

Requirements

PrestaShop 8.0 to 9.x, PHP 8.0 or later. Live rates need NZ Post API access (Client ID and Client Secret). Rates within New Zealand also need an NZ Post business account. Fixed prices work without them. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
