VibeFox LP Express for PrestaShop — Help
Requirements
PrestaShop: 8.0 to 9.x.
PHP: 8.0 or later. The module refuses to install on older PHP versions.
LP Express: no API account is needed. LP Express has no public price API, and the module does not use the Unisend API, so you enter your own (contract) prices. Create the parcels in your Unisend ("Mano siuntos") account.
Parcel terminal list: the module uses the open LP Express terminal list (https://www.lpexpress.lt/index.php?cl=terminals&fnc=getTerminals). No key is needed. If this online list is unavailable, the module uses the last downloaded copy if there is one, otherwise your own list. Be ready to enter your own list (see Configuration).
VibeFox license key: bought on vibefox.net. One key works on one domain.
Installation
1. In the back office go to Modules > Module Manager and click Upload a module. Choose the module ZIP file.
2. When the upload finishes, click Configure, or find VibeFox LP Express in the module list later and click Configure.
3. Paste your VibeFox license key into License key in the license block at the top of the Configure page and click Activate (see License key).
4. Fill in the price table (at least one row) or a fallback cost. Check the status line about parcel terminals at the top of the page and add your own terminal list if the online list is not available. Click Save.
On install the module creates the LP Express parcel terminal carrier with the delivery time text Delivery to an LP Express parcel terminal. The carrier is assigned to the zone of Lithuania and to all customer groups. You can add zones and change customer groups, delivery time, logo and size limits in Shipping > Carriers. Do not set prices there: the price always comes from the module.
Configuration
All settings are on the module page: Modules > Module Manager > VibeFox LP Express > Configure. Each section has its own Save button, which saves the whole page. Every save also reloads the terminal list.
At the top of the page, notices show problems and the terminal status. A warning appears when no price is set or no parcel terminal is available, because then the carrier is not shown at checkout, when the carrier was deleted, and when the shop weight unit is not one the module knows (kg, g, lb, oz), because then product weights are read as kg. An info line shows how many parcel terminals in how many cities are available and from which source: the online list, a saved copy of the online list (with its date) or your own list.
When you save, a method title that is empty or not valid as a carrier name is refused with Enter a valid method title., and a title longer than 64 characters is refused too. In both cases nothing is saved. An amount or weight that is not a number (or is negative) is reported, and its previous value is kept. A Minimum weight (kg) greater than Maximum weight (kg) (30 kg when the maximum is empty) is reported too, because the carrier would never be shown, and both weights keep their previous values. Prices in the table that are not numbers are reported and left empty.
General
Enable/Disable: turns LP Express on or off. This is the same switch as the carrier status in Shipping > Carriers.
Method title: the carrier name shown to customers in the cart and at checkout. Default: LP Express parcel terminal. Required.
Tax status: None means the prices below are final. Taxable with a tax rule (one option per tax rule of your shop) means PrestaShop adds that shipping tax on top of the prices below. This is the tax rule of the carrier.
Prices (in your shop default currency; decimals may be written as 2.99 or 2,99)
Price table: one row per destination country. Click + Add country to add a row and the trash icon to remove one. Choose * Any other country for every country without its own row. Each row has a Base price and weight columns: XS (≤1 kg), S (≤2 kg), M (≤3 kg), L (≤5 kg) and XL (>5 kg). The weight is the cart weight, or the weight of one item with Per item. An empty column uses the base price of the row. 0 means free.
Fallback cost: used when the price table has no row for the destination country. Leave it empty to hide the carrier for such countries.
Calculation: how the price is counted.
Free shipping from: the cart total (products that need shipping, after discounts, tax excluded) from which LP Express is free. Leave empty for no free shipping.
Availability
Minimum weight (kg): hide the carrier when the cart is lighter. Empty or 0 means no limit.
Maximum weight (kg): hide the carrier when the cart is heavier. LP Express terminals accept parcels up to 30 kg. Default: 30. 0 means no limit. Empty means 30 kg in the zones of the carrier, and no limit only for the countries of Ignore shipping zones outside them.
Minimum cart total: show the carrier only from this cart total (products that need shipping, after discounts, tax excluded). Leave empty to always show it.
Ignore shipping zones: offer LP Express for the countries below without setting zones yourself. The carrier is then linked to every active zone (also to zones created later). The zones the carrier had before stay allowed for all their countries. When you switch the option off again, the carrier gets back the zones it had before. When it is off, the countries are defined by the zones of the carrier in Shipping > Carriers. This is recommended.
Countries (without zones): the destination countries for that mode. This field is used only when Ignore shipping zones is on. Leave it empty to offer the carrier for all countries.
Parcel terminals
Terminal list: where the terminals come from.
Own terminal list: one terminal per line in the format ID | Name | City | Address | ZIP, for example 1234 | LP EXPRESS Akropolis | Vilnius | Ozo g. 25 | LT-07150. ID and City are required. Lines starting with # are ignored. Use the terminal IDs your Unisend account expects.
Advanced
Debug log: writes price calculation and terminal list details to logs/vfd_lpex_debug.log.php in the module folder. The file cannot be opened from the web. Errors, such as an unavailable terminal list, are always logged. No customer data is logged.
Log: shows the size and the latest entries of the log. Click Clear log to empty it.
Remove data on uninstall: when on, uninstalling the module deletes the settings, the carrier and the saved terminal list. When off, uninstalling only switches the carrier off. The terminal saved in orders is always kept.
How it works at checkout
At the shipping step PrestaShop asks the module for the LP Express price. Only physical products count: virtual products add no weight and are not included in the cart total. The module checks the Ignore shipping zones countries, the cart weight and the minimum cart total. If free shipping applies, the price is 0. Otherwise the price comes from the row of the country (or the * row): the weight column, else the base price, else the fallback cost. If there is no price, or no parcel terminal is available, the carrier is hidden, so the customer never sees a checkout that cannot be completed.
Prices and amounts are in your shop default currency. The price is then shown in the customer's cart currency using the PrestaShop exchange rate.
The online terminal list is cached for 24 hours. A failed download is remembered for 15 minutes, so the checkout does not wait for the list on every refresh. The download timeout is 10 seconds. Only active terminals from the list are offered.
If you edit the carrier in Shipping > Carriers after it has orders, PrestaShop saves it as a new carrier version. The module follows the new version automatically.
The module does not request LP Express or Unisend prices, create shipments, print labels, call a courier or track parcels. Create the parcels in your Unisend ("Mano siuntos") account. Courier (door-to-door) delivery is not part of this carrier.
Pickup points
When the customer selects LP Express, the block LP Express parcel terminal appears under the carrier with two lists: -- Select city -- and -- Select parcel terminal --. The city of the delivery address is pre-selected when it matches a city in the list. Each terminal is shown with its name, address and ZIP. The choice is saved in the cart right away, so it is not lost when the checkout refreshes. It works with the Classic and Hummingbird themes.
A terminal is required. Without one, Continue in the shipping step and Place order show Please select an LP Express parcel terminal. When the customer clicks Continue, the server checks the terminal against the list again, so a forged or outdated terminal ID is refused with The selected LP Express parcel terminal is not available any more. Please select a parcel terminal again.
The terminal ID, name and city are saved with the order. They are shown in the block LP Express parcel terminal on the back office order page (with Terminal ID), on the order confirmation page and in the customer's order details. In the order confirmation e-mail and in the new order e-mail to the merchant they are added to the carrier name as LP Express parcel terminal: followed by the terminal. If an order has no terminal, the back office order page shows No parcel terminal was chosen for this order.
License key
The module works with a VibeFox license key from vibefox.net. The license block License — VibeFox LP Express is the first block on Modules > Module Manager > VibeFox LP Express > Configure, above the settings. Paste the key into License key and click Activate. After that the block shows the key masked, the status (for example the date the license is active until and your domain) and the buttons Check now to check the status again, Change key to enter another key and Remove key to remove the key from this shop. Below them are the line Product: presta-shipping-lp-express and the link Manage licenses and domains in your account, which opens your vibefox.net account. Only employees with the Configure permission for the module can change the key. The texts of the block follow the back office language (English and Russian are included).
If the key is not accepted, the block says why, for example Key not found, This key belongs to another product, Domain limit reached or License expired on a date. After the shop address changes, or after you free a domain slot in your account, click Check now. If the license server cannot be reached, the module keeps working on the last known status.
One key works on one domain: the domain of the main shop, also in a multistore setup. Removing the key from the shop does not free its domain slot. Free the slot in your vibefox.net account.
Without an active key, the LP Express carrier is not shown to customers at checkout and no rate is calculated. The PrestaShop storefront does not know that you are logged in to the back office, so the carrier is hidden for you too: you can set up the module before you buy a key, but not test it at checkout. A reminder appears in Modules > Module Manager on the Alerts tab. Existing orders are not affected.
When a license expires, the module keeps working, but updates and support need a renewal. The status is checked again automatically while you work in the back office: once a day for the first 14 days after the key is entered, then once a week. No cron job is needed. Uninstalling or resetting the module always removes the license key and license status.
Troubleshooting
LP Express does not appear at checkout: check that the license is active and Enable/Disable is on. In Shipping > Carriers check that the carrier covers the zone of the customer's country and the customer's group (or that Ignore shipping zones is on and the country is allowed). Open the module page: a warning explains if no price is set or no parcel terminal is available. Also check the weight limits and Minimum cart total. Products can also be limited to certain carriers in the product page. With Debug log on, the Log field on the module page shows why the carrier was hidden.
No parcel terminals: the online list could not be loaded and there is no saved copy or own list. The module retries every 15 minutes. Enter your own list in Own terminal list, or choose Only my own list.
The terminal list is outdated: click Save on the module page. This reloads the terminal list. With your own list, update the lines yourself.
The customer cannot continue: a parcel terminal must be chosen. If the customer sees The LP Express parcel terminal list is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later or choose another shipping method., no terminals are available right now. Add your own list.
In which currency are the prices: in your shop default currency. Customers paying in another currency see the price converted with the PrestaShop exchange rate.
The page says the LP Express carrier was not found: the carrier was deleted in Shipping > Carriers. Reset the module in Modules > Module Manager to create it again.
Uninstall
Go to Modules > Module Manager, open the menu next to VibeFox LP Express and choose Uninstall. The license key and license status are always removed. The cached terminal list is always cleared. If Remove data on uninstall is on, the carrier is deleted (orders keep their history), and the settings, the log and the saved copy of the terminal list are removed. If it is off, the carrier is only switched off and all settings and the saved copy are kept. Installing the module again gives the saved carrier back the status it had. The terminal saved in orders is never deleted.
