Overview
VibeFox DHL Africa adds a DHL Express carrier to PrestaShop. Customers see one DHL Express price at the shipping step of checkout: a live rate from DHL for their address and cart, or your fallback price per country.
It suits shops that ship with DHL Express from, to or within Africa, for example from South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Egypt or Morocco. The module calculates shipping rates at checkout. It does not create DHL shipments, print labels or invoices, book pickups or track parcels.
Key features
Live DHL Express rates: DHL is asked for the parcel (weight, one box from the product dimensions, origin and destination), and the cheapest DHL Express product is used. The DHL product, the price source and the calculated price are shown on the order page in the back office.
MyDHL API and legacy XML: works with the current MyDHL API (REST) and still supports DHL XML Services for accounts with a working Site ID. Test and production environments.
Safe currency handling: a DHL quote in your shop default currency is used as is. A quote in your DHL account currency (for example ZAR, NGN or KES) is converted with your exchange rate, or not used. The price is then shown in the customer's cart currency.
No double tax: with a tax rule on the carrier, the DHL rate is taken without the VAT DHL includes, and PrestaShop adds its own tax.
Fallback prices: a price per destination country, then a flat fallback cost, per order or per item. With neither, the carrier is hidden.
Fast checkout: quotes are cached for 1 hour per parcel and route, failures for 10 minutes. DHL errors never reach the customer.
Shipping rules: minimum and maximum cart weight, minimum subtotal, free shipping from a subtotal, carrier tax rule, and an option to offer the carrier in all zones for a list of countries.
Standard PrestaShop carrier: the carrier is created on install. Zones, customer groups and size limits are managed in Shipping > Carriers as usual. Debug log with viewer on the module page.
Requirements
PrestaShop 8.0 to 9.x, PHP 8.0 or later with the cURL extension. Live rates need a DHL Express account number and MyDHL API credentials (API key and secret). Fallback prices work without them. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
