Overview
VibeFox Chilexpress adds a Chilexpress carrier to PrestaShop. Customers choose Chilexpress at the shipping step of checkout and pay your fixed price per country and parcel size, or a live rate from the Chilexpress Rating API for their comuna in Chile.
It suits shops in Chile that send parcels with Chilexpress. The module calculates shipping rates at checkout. It does not create shipments or transport orders, print labels, book pickups, track parcels or let customers choose a Chilexpress office. Live rates are for destinations in Chile only.
Key features
Three rate sources: fixed prices only, Chilexpress API only, or the API with the fixed price as a fallback when Chilexpress has no rate.
Comuna recognition: the comuna the customer types in the City field and the region of the address are converted to the Chilexpress county code. Accents and spelling variants such as Ñuñoa / Nunoa or Santiago / Santiago Centro are recognised.
Chilean regions in one click: PrestaShop has no Chilean regions by default. The Add Chilean regions button adds the 16 regions and the region field to the Chilean address form.
Service of your choice: Prioritario, Express, Extendido, Extremos or the cheapest offered. The service and the price source are shown on the order page in the back office.
Safe currency handling: Chilexpress quotes in Chilean pesos. A shop in another currency sets a CLP exchange rate; without it the API rate is not used, so pesos are never charged as euros or dollars.
Fast checkout: rates are cached for 1 hour, comuna lists for 7 days and failures for 5 minutes. The API timeout is 10 seconds. API errors never reach the customer.
Fixed price table: prices per country, with optional prices by parcel size from the cart weight (XS up to 1 kg to XL above 5 kg), per order or per item.
Shipping rules and a standard carrier: minimum and maximum cart weight, minimum subtotal, free shipping from a subtotal, carrier tax rule, or all zones with a list of countries. Zones, customer groups and size limits are managed in Shipping > Carriers.
Requirements
PrestaShop 8.0 to 9.x, PHP 8.0 or later. Live rates need subscription keys for the Chilexpress Rating and Coverage APIs from the Chilexpress developer portal and Chilean regions in the shop. Fixed prices work without them. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
