VibeFox Canada Post for PrestaShop

Overview

VibeFox Canada Post adds a Canada Post carrier to PrestaShop. Customers see one Canada Post price at the shipping step of checkout: a live rate from the Canada Post Rating API for their address and parcel, or your fixed price per country and cart weight.

It suits Canadian shops that ship parcels within Canada, to the USA and abroad. The module calculates shipping rates at checkout. It does not create shipments, print labels, track parcels or let customers choose a post office, and it shows one Canada Post service, not several at once.

Key features

Live Canada Post rates: prices from the Canada Post Rating API for Canada (postal code), the USA (ZIP code) and all other countries. Fixed prices are used when the API gives no rate.

Service per destination: choose the service for Canada (Regular Parcel, Expedited Parcel, Xpresspost, Priority), for the USA and for international parcels, or Cheapest available. The service is saved with the order and shown on the admin order page.

Your account rates: with your customer number Canada Post returns the commercial (discounted) rates of your account; without it, retail rates. Sandbox mode for testing.

Currency and taxes: Canada Post prices in CAD are converted with your rate when the shop uses another currency. Optionally use prices without GST/HST/PST, so tax is not charged twice.

Correct parcel data: weights and dimensions are converted from your shop units, with a default weight for products without one. Rates are cached for 1 hour and failed requests for 10 minutes.

Fixed prices: a table per country with prices by cart weight (XS to XL) and a base price, per order or per item. Works without Canada Post API keys.

Shipping rules: minimum and maximum cart weight, minimum order amount, free shipping from an order amount, carrier tax rule, and an option to offer the carrier for a list of countries regardless of zones.

Standard PrestaShop carrier: the carrier is created on install. Zones, customer groups, logo and transit time are managed in Shipping > Carriers as usual. Debug log on the module page, without API keys or customer postal codes.

Requirements

PrestaShop 8.0 to 9.x, PHP 8.0 or later. Live rates need an API key from the Canada Post Developer Program. Fixed prices work without one. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
