VibeFox Blue Express for PrestaShop

Overview

VibeFox Blue Express adds Blue Express delivery in Chile to PrestaShop as two carriers: Blue Express for home delivery and Blue Express pickup point for pickup at a Blue Express point the customer chooses on the official Blue Express map. The price is a live rate from the Blue Express API or a fixed price per country.

It suits Chilean shops that ship with Blue Express. The module calculates rates and saves the chosen pickup point in the order. It does not create Blue Express shipments or labels, assign tracking numbers or track parcels, and it has no regional rate tables per commune. Live rates work for Chile only.

Key features

Live Blue Express rates: services Express (EX), Prioritario (PY) and SameDay (MD), with fixed prices per country as the only price source or as a fallback when the API gives no rate.

Home delivery and pickup points: two standard PrestaShop carriers, each with its own name and switch. The customer picks a Blue Express point on the official map in the delivery step.

Pickup price: after a point is chosen, the rate is recalculated with the Blue Express pickup (PUDO) price. The customer cannot continue without a point.

Pickup point in the order: shown on the admin order page (can be changed there), on the order confirmation and order detail pages and in order e-mails.

Chilean regions in one click: Blue Express needs the region of the address. If your shop has no regions for Chile, the module can add the 16 Chilean regions and the region field to Chilean addresses.

Correct parcels and currency: weights and dimensions are converted to kg and cm, prices in CLP are converted to your shop currency with your exchange rate and shown in the customer's cart currency.

Fast checkout: rates are cached for 1 hour and commune data for 12 hours. A failed API call is remembered for 5 minutes, so a slow API does not slow down the checkout.

Shipping rules: minimum and maximum weight, minimum subtotal, free shipping from a subtotal, per-order or per-item fixed prices, carrier tax rule, offer in every zone with a country list. Debug log viewable on the module page.

Requirements

PrestaShop 8.0 to 9.x, PHP 8.0 or later. Live rates need a Blue Express e-commerce account and its API key. Fixed prices work without one. A VibeFox license key from vibefox.net (one key per domain).
